I think pro athletes should be able to smoke weed tbh, so in principal I'm not against Gordon smoking weed. D. Fox from Bull and Fox called this last year. Midway through the season after watching a bunch of all 22 video's on Gordon....he was loafing out the blocks when the ball wasn't going to him. Fox was a DB at OH St. so he knows how that game is played. Guys like that give the play away. That on top of the looming 1 year suspension, we should have traded him. Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't we have 1st round interest in Gordon? Not sure which teams it was so wouldn't know how high that pick would have been.....but another 1st round pick, hell even another 2nd round pick....looks pretty fucking good right about now.

he may have been caught off guard. GUys who have tested + in the past get random drop ins. They are compelled to immediately supply a urine sample. Hard to beat a random test like that if you're caught in the middle of the offseason by some dudes showing up at your door. I wouldn't be surprised if the NFL trails some of these offenders in the offseason and if they're seen going places they shouldn't be....they get a visit on a sunday morning. Meaning if he would have stayed home and smoked weed they may not have bothered. I the NFL knows damn well that 90% of the players smoke. It's just where they go around doing their business is what concerns the NFL. You got players seen out and about doing things they shouldn't, looks bad. Do it in the privacy of your own home, nobody likely gives a fuck. This is how guys like Lebron, a known weed smoker to people in Akron, stay out of trouble. Lebron doesn't hang around places and people he shouldn't be. We give Lebron a lot of shit cause he's a dbag....but other than that he keeps his shit remarkably clean. I was thinking the same thing about his contract. If he did play this year and played the same as last year then he would want a huge extension. Now it will be a minimal finacial obligation to resign him.

Lets take an optomistic view for a moment. The following are fact
1) The FO knew about this yesterday before they traded down passing on both Watkins and Evans.
2) The FO knew about this tonight when they passed on Lee and others and selected Bitonio
I really do not think our FO is incompetent or blatatanly stupid. Given that fact is it possible they know something we havent heard yet? For example I read somewhere last year that Gordons circumstances did NOT necessarily mean a one year suspension. I honestly think based on their actions they must think he will play a major share of the season. If not the moves make no sense. I do not think they would have made these moves thinking they could fill Gordon with a 4th round selection, an existing WR or a free agent.
Anyone else follow my logic there and agree?

Doesn't change the fact that its still federal illegal and even where it is legal employers can still fire you for a positive drug test for THC.
