Cal, I didn't hear it that way at all. I agree that Schumer's a clown. It was just a flippant remark about earmarks/pork, which the GOP isn't allergic to either...they both do it so stop it. But he's kinda right without even knowing...we expect this kind of flippant crap from our politicians that we are starting not to care either way anymore.

Pork is pork, regardless of party.
It is waste, but now, with alleged catastrophe on the line,
the pork is keeping that money from being spent to
create jobs. With the enormous amount of $$$$$,

I guess we all care about different things, whether it be a Bridge to Nowhere or a $140M Inaugural Party, nobody is above succumbing to self-interest. Especially drunk-with-power politicians. Look how easy it is to get what you want when you're holding all of the cards. The only thing I can says is, and I'm sure it's gonna come off as a defense when I sure as shit don't mean it to be, is that someone somewhere sees what we call pork as money honestly well-spent. Me, I'm a cynic, so I don't believe that crap, but that someone somewhere...
