Jonathan Paul Manziel

Once again you guys dont seem to understand professional sports. Browns are talking about Hoyer to get M anziels attention the same way you hit on the fat girl to make her hot friend pay attention to you.
I feel bad for Hoyer. I really do. Hes a lame duck.
You can take everything in the Browns have said about Hoyer but their actions say otherwise. If hes "Tom Brady" then why'd they pick a QB in yhe first round? Its not even about Manziel, it couldve been Teddy B and the point remains. The Browns believe in Hoyer to the extent they took a QB in round 1. Thats reality and the only message that you know is fact.
So riddle me this Batman- if the Browns thought Manziel was all that great, why didn't they take him @ #4? Then they trade down and take a cornerback @ #8. Obviously they thought Gilbert was more valuable to the Browns than Manziel at that point. Yeah, a f**king cornerback.
The only reason Manziel was still on the board was because Jerry Jones (by his own admission) had a senior moment- more like an Al Davis moment, and passed on him. Tony Romo is coming off back surgery and he isn't getting any younger.
The Browns took Manziel (most likley) because he was BPA according to all the draftnicks rankings. I- and a bunch of others here- have said taking a quarterback at all in the first was hedging their bets. They liked what they saw of Hoyer- but the sample size was too small, and he's coming off an ACL. Maybe he is a career backup, and will flop now that teams have more tape on him. He deserves his chance to show what he can do- we haven't even played any preseason games yet. Yes Manziel was drafted with the hope- and I emphasize hope he will eventually be the long term solution. If Hoyer lights it up, and Johnny sits, so much the better. You're one of the few who isn't willing to admit it's at least a possibility. So calm down, it will all sort itself out in due time.

Once again it's not about Manziel.
Manziel, Carr, Bridgewater....the Browns were going to pick a QB in the first round. I mean theres reports that the card they turned in originally said Teddy B and at the last second it was changed. That might be true. Either way the Browns traded UP in the 1st round to get a QB.
That's exactly how the Browns feel about Hoyer. All you need to know.

dude, can you PLEEEEZ tell us all your fucking point?
just say it, no one is going to bash you.
i could pull a small sample size of what you've posted in this thread so far and it all seems to be the same:
hoyer is a refrigerator in an apartment that is going to get renovated and manziel is the new bright and shiny appliance that will be plugged in tomorrow, so why keep the old refrigerator?
you spout al this nonsense and your whole bottom line is that in your opinion hoyer sucks and manziel deserves to be the starter, CORRECT?
hey i got you 20 posts ago. do you really just need to keep posting the same shit over and over?

Oh for you, listen to todays First Take.
I believe theres a quote in there about how Johnny is the first in and last out.
Just so you're up to date on what is and isn't real. -
i guarantee you most veteran players in the NFL right now feel the same way about manziel and they can't wait to put a lick on him.
i hope he can take a punch given the fact that he is our future franchise QB and all.
-
There's a line around the block to punch Johnny in the mouth

Lol, First Take. Skip Bayless is a robust mongoloid! He's going to cling to anything he possibly can to portray Manziel as the second coming of Christ.
Honestly, Bayless' man crush on Manziel is what worries me the most. Skip will never admit that College and the NFL aren't identical.
All he does is spout CFB stats as if it means jack shit at the next level.
Just ask two of his most recent CFB heroes: Tebow, and Weeden.

OK, I've had enough- no amount of arguing\debating is going to change anyone's opinion at this point- we've rehashed the same points about 5 times over, it's going in circles nowhere fast. So I'm going to close this thread- It's gotten far too long anyway.
You can take the debate to the training camp thread- or start a new one.

This guy is gonna be a legend lol.... seriously
The guy who beats the shit out of the Steelers then goes out drinking at local bars after the game
-
Proof?
-
He shouldn't be going out. He should have stayed in camp. And he definitely shouldn't be eating a restaurant or drinking 2 beers.
What he should have done is stay home, eat his play book and wash it down with the sweat taken from each teammates jockstrap.
That's what Brian Hoyer is doing. That's what Peyton Manning does. Have you ever seen Peyton Manning have fun? The guy is a stone cold, emotionless leader who goes home and powers off when he's not in pads. You'll never see him having fun or dancing to something in practice.
That's what being a leader is all about. Manziel is not that guy. He's too worried about ingesting food at a local restaurant than winning football games. What a joke.
-
Brian Hoyer doesn't need food or drink. His body has adapted to use NFL experience as fuel. He learned that from Tom Brady.
Manziel has a long way to go.
