***Official Browns Vs. Rams Preseason Game Night Thread***

Damn. If l was a Rams fan l'd be a nervous wreck right now. 3 players now with an early exit due to injury.
Gonna go find some wood to knock on now.
-
I think Kirksey may get a promotion.

Man I hate to see all these Rams go down. The last two seem minor but Bradford looked bad.

Armonty slapped him

We've heard "bend but not break" used to describe our defense the last few years. Still seeing that.
That turnover is the difference man. Apple turnover.

Had to go buy the NFL.com deal to see this one live.
Based on the end of the Bills game the lag looks to be close to 2 minutes...
So see y'all after the game.

I bought it too, and if you watch the game and then check in on the tavern during the commercials, there doesn't seem to be any spoiler alerts.

Great job by Sheard occupying the center.

Stared that down all day.

Someone with more talent than me will have to review Gilbert but so far he's looked well below average.
-
Can Johnny Football play defensive back? Can't be any worse than Gilbert!
-
He had solid coverage on the first pass he gave up. Just needed to get his head around.
There was a lot of contact by Givens on the top of that route. But it's the NFL, ain't no call going to the offense.
He's not a good player in space yet. Zone coverage is still something be needs to work on, especially squeezing that receiver. On the dig he needs to break on the route/ball - not trail the receiver.
Some encouraging things but some that also say he's still a rookie.
Edit. Also after how many weeks of camp plus the flag fest the past two games, I'm sure these DB's are a little gun shy.
-
What's obvious on both teams is the DB's are playing off the WR's because of the way flags are being called. That's why soft spots are open in the zone like that.
-
That was the knock on Gilbert coming out of Okie State.
-
All I can say is I'm happy this is happening to Gilbert in the preseason.
-
Couple thoughts I'm having so far...
1- How can you go from so many defensive hands penalties last game by both teams to ZERO so far this game??
2- Where's Josh Gordon?
3- why the hell did I put a 50 spot on the browns this game??
-
Gabriel is a keeper.
Not Peter. Though he's had his moments too.

Wondering the same thing.
Last week in was in every fucking package.

Might have to do with him slacking off last week. A good way to piss off any coach is too half ass it on the field.
