Should we ask Jim Brown his opinion on this? I'm sure this goes on in the NFL just as it does in society just behind closed doors and not made public. Watch out where you're throwing those stones.

Ronda Rousey says he has a pussy ass left and wants him in the octagon now. Probably not, but it would be funny if she did call him out.

That was decades ago. Different times. I doubt he ever plays again in the NFL.

Bullshit- Ozzie was beloved by we Browns fans when he was here, and I understand he had to take that job & career move.

Be objective here- the Ratbird organization has defended Ray Lewis & Ray Rice. They put videos up on their website with their female fans "supporting Ray Rice." They, and this includes Ozzie, are a low-class scumbag organization born out of an inept owner (deceased).

Would Sgt. Joe Friday say well this was decades ago it was ok to beat up your women back then? Just making the point that the Browns/NFL covered it up back then just as the Ravens/NFL did now. The only thing that's changed is technology so now everything is transparent in the snap of a finger. So no we shouldn't fire everyone involved except for Goodel otherwise there wouldn't be an NFL left. And the action taken is still to preserve the almighty dollar (that JFB loves to roll) for the owners.

No, I'm saying that decades ago there wouldn't have been video of it happening. As a matter of fact you probably would never have heard of it at all. Now with everything being instantly posted online thats the way it is.

now that he is terminated they don't owe him anymore money.

hopefully he invested well and didn't spend it on buying his mom a hummer or a mansion...(wait?)

And his wife will be too by divorce not murdered by Ray Ray. Oops confused my ratbirds for a second. Now that there's no money to be had, why else would she be sticking around. Or is it a case of true love conquers all even after being knocked out? No Mas No Mas.

I wonder who will take a chance on him next year? I honestly don't see the NFL actually banning him for life even though he deserves it.

When will his wife come out and tell the truth? Next week? Tomorrow?

I'm surprised you didn't try to defend him, being that his arm never left a 90deg. Angle and anyone that has ever thrown a punch knows that's not how it's done.

So why did Rice receive an indefinite suspension today and not when it was first handed down?

the best right now is ray lewis siding on doing the right thing when it comes to not breaking the law.

    anyone say OJ?

olbermann is right. fire them all.

The guy needs to be pulled out into the street and beat, but what is the protocol for the suspension here?

Didn't they have a policy in place that they then modified? Isn't it now a certain length of time for the first offense, and then lifetime ban for the second?

How does the NFL have the right to say, "because we saw the video of you punching her, your gone". Other than the fact they are trying to save face, what the hell is the difference. The girl was drug out of the elevator out cold... How does this video make his domestic violence charge any worse than what it was to begin with when they made the call for his first suspension?

Again, Ray Rice can work at Taco Bell for the rest of his life and should be banned for life, but as a company with rules in place with a union, I don't see how they can just make stuff up as they go along, and change the rules for a retroactive harsher punishment. If they can do it this time, what stops them from making case by case judgements based on player popularity and what TMZ posts on their website.

There is no way Goodell didn't see this video before today... The NFL is a joke.

  • Well... she was rushing him...

He's lucky that she wasn't more seriously hurt when her head hit the handrail on the way to the floor.

Surprised she didn't wind up with a busted jaw, nose or cheekbones. Could have gotten a fractured skull when she hit the back of the elevator. Yeah King Roger, when Rice fessed up "I hit her", you didn't think there was a possibility "I hit her as hard as I could with a hay maker left?"

    @diehardbrownsfan said:

    Probably the Squeelers.

If you read those links, 3 NFL GMs were asked off the record if they'd be willing to take a chance on Rice if he's reinstated. Unanimous- "wouldn't touch him with a ten foot pole."

Well, that swing cost Rice a potential $23 million..
