Lacking a Superstar, a material contributor to a contender is key. And the potential superstars all seem to be hurt and/ or struggling. So...
On Offense:
QBs and RBs dominate, but I agree that NO's Brandin Cooks fits the contrib/ contend bill.
On Defense:
LBs dominate...
Shazier and Mosely are both off to fast starts...
I hate to pick a divisional foe, but I'll go with CJ.

if he didn't play for the raiders I'd pick Mack now that Clowney is hurt. Pre injury though it was clear that Clowney was NFL ready which was insane. If Clowney stays healthy he'll get stronger, faster and further improve his technique. He has the potential to put up HOF numbers within his first few seasons.

This is really impossible to predict at this point. Hell the OROY could be Manziel if Hoyer gets hurt (god forbid)...

Agree, but in Mack's case most reports are that he has really struggled to adapt to what the Raider system is asking of him.
