    Gipper,

Does "negligent" translate to omission of an act rather than commission?

  • Reckless negligence don't know what that means. He could have been going 100 mph in a car with a kid in it...This doesn't necessarily mean he was actually physically abusing a kid...still it's all bad for him

stems from discipline using a switch, is that southern for a stick?

  • Yeah

  • Beat a kid with a stick and all hell breaks loose these days. Goddamn hippies.

It could be either. You can be charged with child endangerment without a child being injured at all. Like driving DUI with a child in the car....even if no accident occurred and no injury. Here, what I read above specifically states there was an injury.

Damn, my Dad would have been sent to jail about a hundred times.

  • Blows my mind, parents of my generation would get life in prison in today's pussified society.

  • Just how many illegitimate children does Peterson have?

Gipper, when WE were kids, ALL parents would have been imprisoned!

  • Jesus those are pretty rough, very sad.

  • What is this

  • when will it end

When there is only 1 person left on earth

  • He's going to lose those kids to the state. Sorry but the pics verify abuse, not a simple whipping for a 4 year old. Totally overboard by a parent who has no idea what that even means.

  • That ain't right man. Seriously I hope he paid for that. Fuck Adrian Peterson

  • hey you people know that hurt people - hurt people?

  • I do believe in "spare the rod spoil the child". That said physical discipline needs to be exercised with restraint. The virtual complete lack of this type of discipline has created a night mare in our country in my opinion. That said if these pictures are accurate it is obvious it was beyond appropriate. I will say I have had more than a few welts myself but never cuts. I would be willing to be these are the same type injuries AP became accustomed to as he was raised and so it continue in the cycle. Unless there are other gross examples of abuse in his home this to me seems to be an issue of education and counseling and suspended sentencing. Just my two and a half cents.

  • His nickname is AD, by the way.

But child abuse ... it is going to be DOA for his career.

Didn't he have a son die of abuse?

Yes, in 2013, a two year old son at the hands of another man.

But for those that think AD merely spanked his 4-year old, read the following:

AD did more than just spank his child. But don't fret, he's got Rusty Hardin to make sure he suits up on Sunday. Wonder who his 4-year old can get to defend him.

My dad and my teachers in school.

Peterson went so, so far beyond "spanking". To start with, just last year, his two-year son was beaten to death by another man. Now he takes his four year old, stuffs his mouth with leaves, pulls his pants down, and not only whips him with a branch, but also uses a belt, (AD - "I like my belts"); one lashing cuts very deep on his leg; another cuts his scrotum; and the boy also said, after being lashed in the face, was afraid of "being punched in the face".

None of this is acceptable in any way. Peterson is dead to me, and I pray for his kids. With the new domestic violence policy, Peterson should be out the next 10 games. Oh wait, that type of punishment is reserved only for demons likes Josh Gordon.
