I thought it looked pretty legit. At least it's the same color.

As a Saints fan the expectation is that we actually play Rob Ryan defense this week. Last week we sat back in a zone defense and only brought four rushers. Only on 12 occasions (12% of Atlanta's snaps) did we bring a fifth rusher or more. Unheard of for a Rob Ryan defense to be that laid back. Also played Byrd 20+ yards off the line for the majority of the game.

Hopefully this week we get back to doing what we are good at. Saints played conservative last week because they were scared of getting beat over the top. I don't think that happens this week. I think we give Hoyer a lot of different looks, bump at the line on man coverage, and bring more pressure. That's what I hope anyway.

So you are saying you are not as scared of our WRs as you were the trio of Jones/White/Hester???

I watched the NFL Rewind of your opener and if I had not seen Rob on the sideline, I never would have guessed he was still your DC. So many times that 4-2-5 personnel were on the field. Nothing exotic...

Pierre Thomas is the out of the backfield back now, he's not as flashy as Sproles but he is effective. 6 catches last week, 77 last season.

More like Thomas is out of the backfield again...

He's been your feature back off and on for years. While I've always liked him, he never seemed to me to be built to handle that role and his injury history seems to support that opinion. He's been your constant, your "fallback" guy, throughout a long search for an impact, feature back to replace McAllister. And now that Ingram has developed into a decent back, Pierre is once again back in the role that suits him best. Agree?

Definitely agree. I think you'll see Pierre get 5-8 carries per game this season. He will be more of the back lined up next to Drew in the shotgun.

  • Wonder which quarter we'll decide to start playing this week.

That has been a problem in the past with other coaches. Not sure why it continues through each regime change.

  • The only way we have a chance to win this game will be to keep Mr.Drew Brees standing on the sideline. They have to many weapons on offense for us to compete with.

or laying lateral on a stretcher.

  • Gilbert's going to get reduced reps, which means Skrine will be moved to that outside cover duty which is not his best spot at all. Expect a long day for that rotation, I hope Gilbert has eaten a shit load of film and advice from Haden this week.

  • the last four times (since 1981) the saints have played in Cleveland they average 16ppg with series even at 2 -2

as mentioned, browns gotta pressure brees hard. if brees has time like the rapist last week it's gonna be tough for the young team in their home opener............

the smart money is on the browns sunday

would like to see jff work in some read offense if hoys ineffective

Ah... but the last four times we've met (all since our rebirth), we are up 3-1...

  • and....the Taints are 1-6 in their last 7 regular season road games......(2-7 if you count playoffs)....I like the odds...

Most the talk around here was arguing with Steelers trolls... they've been quiet since Thursday night...

  • Top 5 topics at homotron and douche nozzles house... Quite comical.

"Steelers defense in need of change"

    "Possible replacements for Tomlinson"

"Ben has to elevate his play"

    "Ben's future replacement"

"LeBeau not Haley should be on the hot seat"

I'm sure they are busy putting out fires over there, reassuring the young bandwagon fans what a great job they do drafting and showing them the proper way to sniff their sister underwear and general inbreeding talk.

Well hell how many times do we see similar stuff here? Nobody likes to lose
