#browns pettine said the initial diagnosis on Alex Mack is a broken leg but he can't confirm it

JAFBF

Ian Rapoport @RapSheet · 1h 1 hour ago More on #Browns star center Alex Mack: He broke his ankle, I’m told. The fear is he’s out for the season.

D Bone

Bummer for sure, but now it's the next man up. The way the next man uppers played today on both sides of the ball, I'm not super worried.

JAFBF

Yeah, I was real surprised how well Greco and McQuistan took over.

TypicalBrowns

Sucks, need K Waun to get better, he played awesome

LondonBrown

The players all going over to Mack as he was on the cart was a nice touch

DieHardBrownsFan

Well be okay.

Tour2ma

Could be the season, but I thought a clean break could be as little as 8 weeks.

Anyway... Gonna miss Alex, but we have a stretch to gel the new set up before the tests get more severe... just keep the new 5 healthy.

#browns Armonty Bryant hobbled out on crutches and in big brace on right knee. Looks serious. Wouldn't say early diagnosis

LondonBrown

Saying it's not ankle but a broken lower leg now, definitely done for the season.

Unsympathetic

Thank God it's just a break. He'll be stronger next year because of it. This happens to OL players.

Any more word on Armonty?

Dr Hoorta sez- if it a clean fibula break- 8 weeks. (assuming all that is). A tibia break, or ligament damage- yeah, longer.

JAFBF

Sounds like he's gone, here's the latest (still not sure what exactly it is) :

David J. Chao, MD @ProFootballDoc · 2h 2 hours ago Unfortunately @Browns C ALEX MACK L ankle/leg fracture confirmed. Likely surgery/IR as initial mechanism indicated.

Followed up later with :

David J. Chao, MD @ProFootballDoc · 1h 1 hour ago Reported fibula fracture on @Browns C Alex MACK is only part of problem. High ankle ligament tear is what will land him on IR.

Frenchie

I heard he'll be lost for the season due to break and ligament tear. Big loss for us but it might allow us to really develop the 6th lineman.

VaporTrail

McQuistan and Greco stepped up. We're gonna miss Mack, but I think we still can run it.

How would you not already know this? Did you watch the game? If you did, you clearly saw Alex get rolled up on and break his ankle....if it wasn't his ankle it was his lower shin. Couldnt have been more obvious.
