    Exactly where I heard it. Mkc was asking the questions so probably on the plain dealer.

    First it was the whole Brian Hoyer wont play with Manziel. A Non story that Hoyer shrugged off ands said was a distraction

    Then it was JFF's frustration and Pettine "sensing" it. Another load of crap that JFF shrugged right off as untrue

    And, now, she's stirring the pot with Tate. Read his words, He doesn't want to have the discussion. He's TRYING to be a team player and she's picking at it.

    She is such a scab reporter. The Browns shouldn't even let her in the room.

  • i don't know what team has a 'featured' RB that is killing it other that dallas (yeah, i know). all the #1 fantasy picks for RBs are just not what they were years ago, hence the change in offensive schemes. tate should be happy that he's getting carries at all. just because a player bitches does not mean you change your game plan.

    Why do we KEEP signing guys who want and expect to play??? Baffles me.

  • Play better and you get the reps. It is abundantly clear that Pettine is results driven (ex: Crowell getting his carries restricted leading up to Bengals game). You play well, he gives you carries. At this point, Tate could go and I think the Browns would be just fine.

  • She threw out the bait and he foolishly bit. His answers should have been all about the 6-3 record and tops in the division and all about "team". Just dumb on his part. He can save the "real" answers for his coach to hear in private so Pettine can give him straightforward answers on what he has to do to improve that # of carries. Now that is something he can count on.

  • Honestly speaking I did not see anything particularly wrong in Tate's words. He was answering straight questions with straight answers.

    The guy wants to play. Tough to say he shouldn't, he came to Cleveland as THE RB.

    The guy also clearly said that the team will do anything that would help winning games. And also that is tough to argue.

    With the only exception of the top 3 or 4, every RB around the league knows that he plays in the most volatile position after Kickers and Punters. And this league is more and more "what can you do for me right now".

    He'll try to prove he's the best in the committee but if he goes, there'll be another one coming just like the undrafted rookie that is doing so well for us this year.
