  • Just on at holiday times is enough. For instance my #1 home alone is set at Christmas but isn't necessarily Christmas themed

  • Miracle on 34th Street.

    WSS

  • Osiris, are there any good Ramadan movies?

    (just kidding bud)

    WSS

  • Die Hard

    Christmas Vacation

    A Christmas Story

    Bad Santa

  • In that case, The Great Escape has to be top 3, easily. Home Alone (the original), Muppet Christmas Carol in there as well.

  • Oh yes, Die Hard, obviously!

  • Yep, Die Hard

  • Of course A Christmas Story.

  • Planes,Trains, and Automobiles.

  • Love Actually.

  • As we all know there are some movies that can only be enjoyed at the holidays so what are your favorites?

    Mine are as follows:

    1. Home Alone: maybe it's just because I was a child of the nineties the same age as Macaulay Culkin but this remains my favorite must watch of the season.

    2. Scrooged: Bill Murray. End of story.

    3. It's a wonderful life: Actually never fails to bring a tear to my eye.

    4. Elf: Elf is a modern classic in my mind. Will Ferrell sells it with a certain charm I'm not sure anyone could replicate.

    5. Rudolph the red - nosed reindeer: burl ives. Burl...Ives...

    6. (Hon. Mention) the Santa clause: This will always and forever remind me of my well loved and departed uncle Ross who was the closest to a real dad I ever had. And though it's not sad there's a good chance I'll cry when the Montage of Santa trying out his new stuff to the tune of "sharp dressed man" comes on.

Too bad Culkin turned into such a weird SOB:
