  • Yup Gip- I posted elsewhere the Browns AFC conference record kills them in a lot of tiebreaker scenarios. Their best shot is win the division. It means win out, and hope the Steelers and Bengals split.

  • The playoffs did in fact start for the Browns on Dec 2. If we run the table we will be in, if not we won't......... Great day to be a Browns fan!

As Corso would say- not so fast my friend. Not likely, but it could happen. Browns win out- we're 11-5. That eliminates the Ravens. Bengals only loss is to the Browns- their record, 11-4-1, win division. Eliminates Steelers. BUT- if the Chargers win out they're 12-4, and if the Dolphins win out- 11-5, they knock out the Browns on better conference record- just like I just said. The best the Browns can finish in the conference is 7-5. And if we wind up tied with the Bills, we'll lose that one on head- to- head. A little early to be thinking about the permutations of three way ties.

If the Browns go 11-5, I think almost for certain they make the playoffs. Only 2 teams in the history of the 16 game schedule did not make the playoffs at 11-5: mid-80 Broncos and like 2008 Patriots.

  • what the browns needs to also start "rooting" for are the top tier teams to beat the guys we're in contention with. Look at the Broncos schedule and Patriots Schedule

    Broncos: Bills, Chargers, Bengals, Raiders

    Patriots: Chargers, Dolphins, Jets, Bills

Each of these teams have 3 games against guys we really need to lose, especially the Bills.

  • Falcons a playoff team I'll be damned.
