Here are this week's trivia questions, about the Colts/Browns. Try your hand:

    1. A. What is the all time head to head regular season record between the Browns and the Colts?

    B. What is the head to head postseason record between Browns/Colts?

    2. Which team have the Colts played the most times in postseason play?

    3. Only one player (that I have been able to find) that made the Pro Bowl as a member of the Colts also played at some point for the Cleveland Browns. Name that person.

    4. Former Brown Trent Richardson is currently the rushing leader for the Colts team (yes, believe it or not). There was one other running back that led the Colts in rushing for a season that also played some time for the Browns. Name him

    5. Two players that lead the Colts in receiving yards in a season also at some point in time played for the Browns. Name those two players

    6. Three people that were Cleveland Browns as players went on to become the Head Coach of the Colts. Name those 3 persons.

    7. Name all the teams that the Colts have met in the Super Bowl.

    8. To which original 1920 NFL team do some claim that the Colts can trace their lineage to? (now considered defunct)

    9. What was the betting line in Super Bowl III? (will only accept an exact line)

    10. The 1981 Colts gave up the most points in NFL history (which stands to this day). Within a margin of error of 10 points, how many points did that team give up?

    11. Robert Irsay was considering moving the Colts to 2 different cities when he decided to move them out of Baltimore. Besides Indy, what other city was a finalist to move that team?

    12. The Colts, I believe, have had the #1 overall pick in the draft more than any other team: 7 times.

Name the 7 players the Colts have taken with the #1 overall pick.

        New England NO

        3. Only one player (that I have been able to find) that made the Pro Bowl as a member of the Colts also played at some point for the Cleveland Browns. Name that person.

        Chip Banks NO

        4. Former Brown Trent Richardson is currently the rushing leader for the Colts team (yes, believe it or not). There was one other running back that led the Colts in rushing for a season that also played some time for the Browns. Name him

Lynn Dickey I am sort going to give it to you. While Lynn Dickey was a QB for the Packers, Curtis Dickey is the guy here, and I am going to let you go with the last name.

        6. Three people that were Cleveland Browns as players went on to become the Head Coach of the Colts. Name those 3 persons.

        Don Shula

        Mike McCormack

These two are right. The other is much harder because I think he was an interim coach (for just 9 games)

        7. Name all the teams that the Colts have met in the Super Bowl.

        New England

        Chicago

        Only Chicago is correct

        8. To which original 1920 NFL team do some claim that the Colts can trace their lineage to? (now considered defunct)

        Dallas

NO.....but a Dallas team was a link in that supposed chain.

        10. The 1981 Colts gave up the most points in NFL history (which stands to this day). Within a margin of error of 10 points, how many points did that team give up?

        346

        No, not close

        12. The Colts, I believe, have had the #1 overall pick in the draft more than any other team: 7 times.

Name the 7 players the Colts have taken with the #1 overall pick.

        Peyton Manning

        Andrew Luck

        Steve Emtman

        John Elway

These 4 are all correct, but there are more.

Surprised to hear Banks wasn't a Pro bowler for them....but, as good as he was, he did play below expectations...

Lynn Dickey - Curtis Dickey - Tricky Dickey.....surprised I even remembered 1/2....so appreciate the concession

and, duh, a real brain fart on the New England super bowls.....😉

          Colts Cleveland Trivia Extra.....

Andrew Lucks dad was Oliver Luck, who also played QB at St Ignatius....I still remember him.....avg to below avg NFLer

                              1. A. What is the all time head to head regular season record between the Browns and the Colts?

Browns lead 14-13. Lets hope they can keep that lead.

                              B. What is the head to head postseason record between Browns/Colts?

                              2-2

                              1964 Browns win 27-0

1968 Colts win 28-0 (they then lose to Jets in SBIII

                              1971 Colts win 20-3

                              1987 Browns win 38-21

                              2. Which team have the Colts played the most times in postseason play?

                              The Steelers 5 times

                              3. Only one player (that I have been able to find) that made the Pro Bowl as a member of the Colts also played at some point for the Cleveland Browns. Name that person.

                              Punter Chris Gardocki

                              Curtis Dickey

                              5. Two players that lead the Colts in receiving yards in a season also at some point in time played for the Browns. Name those two players

                              Curtis Dickey and Reggie Langhorne

                              6. Three people that were Cleveland Browns as players went on to become the Head Coach of the Colts. Name those 3 persons.

                              Don Shula

                              Mike McCormack

                              John Sandusky (interim)

                              7. Name all the teams that the Colts have met in the Super Bowl.

Jets (lost) Cowboys (won) Bears (won) Saints(lost)

                              8. To which original 1920 NFL team do some claim that the Colts can trace their lineage to? (now considered defunct)

The Dayton Triangles. Supposedly the lineage went like this: Trianges>Brooklyn Tigers>Boston Yanks>NY Yanks>Dallas Texans>Baltimore Colts.

                              9. What was the betting line in Super Bowl III? (will only accept an exact line)

The Colts were favored by 18 points. (not sure, but SBIII may in fact still be the biggest upset....point spread wise in SB history.....only Giants win over 18-0 Pats could rival it perhaps)

OK, in checking....SBIII is the biggest upset per the point spread. 17 pts. Pats were favored by 14 over Giants.

                              10. The 1981 Colts gave up the most points in NFL history (which stands to this day). Within a margin of error of 10 points, how many points did that team give up?

The gave up 533 points that season......or an average of 33.3 points per game. Awful.

                              11. Robert Irsay was considering moving the Colts to 2 different cities when he decided to move them out of Baltimore. Besides Indy, what other city was a finalist to move that team?

Phoenix. Of course some other greedy bastard took his team out there just a few years later (1988)

                              12. The Colts, I believe, have had the #1 overall pick in the draft more than any other team: 7 times.

Name the 7 players the Colts have taken with the #1 overall pick.

George Shaw, Bubba Smith, John Elway, Jeff George, Steve Emtman, Peyton Manning, Andrew Luck

The Colts have also had the #2 overall pick 6 times and with those they took Bert Jones, Johnnie Cooks Quentin Coryatt, Marshall Faulk, Cornelius Bennett, Billy Vessels.
