Play calling has been suspect, but, as pointed out before, two guys have been open for TD's that weren't cashed in. If Shanahan get's the blame for 4 yd passes on 3rd and 6, he should also get credit for the plays that freed somebody up.
Again, only talking about today's game. I'm looking at the big picture. Overall, this is a very uncreative offensive scheme.
-
The reason for the pitches and the conservative play calling is because they have no confidence in Hoyer
-
However we get it done, let's just get it f*cking done.
-
DEFENSE
-
The defense essentially put up 17 points today. Against Andrew Luck, that is insane.
-
Nice throw Hoyer.
-
This is the season.

Damn

Too bad no one sealed the edge on the colts 4th down conversion.. Defense deserved to win.. Leonard has filled in nicely for Gipson. Start Johnny the rest of the way and pull Gordon's head out of his ass.

You could read this script. Heartbreaking game. How much did we not pay Dawson? Let's move forward and respect the fact that we have added a lot of talent on this team. Another off season, a more talented QB, a good draft, a good FA, and this team could win the division next year. We're just a few pieces short.
-
Johnny would have won this game hands down. Hoyer is a broke dick that needs to be riding the pine.
-
It's fucking groundhog day. Snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.
Can some of us FINALLY admit that Hoyer is done?
-
What is going to be the reaction of the players and coaches? I'm very interested to hear their thoughts about Hoyer and the offense. Offense accounted for 7 points.

Should be a tough postgame for Pettine. I hope Manziel has the restraint to keep his mouth shut, because you know it had to be eating him up on the sidelines.
This loss is 100% on Pettine and Hoyer. Pettine because he misjudged which QB gave the Browns the best chance to win and Hoyer for missing two deep TD passes. He only needed to hit one of the two and the Browns win. Sucky Cundiff hits the field goal and we'd have won, but if Hoyer wasn't so terrible we wouldn't have to be trying so many field goals.
Pettine's a rookie coach. I hope he learned his lesson. JM needs to start next week.

Sick to my stomach over this loss after such an amazing defensive performance. I never want to see brian hoyer again.
