Two picks and a sack from Leonhard. Craig Robertson looks a lot less like the guy that got picked on last season, and a lot more like a legit ILB.

On Leonard: We love Gipson, but did he cross anyone's mind yesterday? 'Nuff said.

On Robertson: Good to see him mentioned. His improved play this year has been somewhat overshadowed by excitement over Kirksey.

  • There were very many things to be pleased with yesterday. Special Teams finally got going (Cuntiff aside) and defense has bought into Next Man Up in a big way.

  • If we would have won the defense deserved to be hoisted up on the offenses shoulders for a victory lap. But we didn't win.

The way O'Neil has them playing, and more importantly, how he's gotten them better each week, the offense needs to carry their equipment to and from practice for the rest of the year.

  • Mingo was good too, can't wait to see what he can do if both shoulders healthy

If by offense you mean Hoyer and the receivers, then yes I agree.

I mean all offense, including Shanahan. In fact, Baby Shanny should 'shadow' O'Neil during the week to see how a coach gets his unit to improve every week, even with injuries.

    Include Pettine and it's a deal 🙂

    SOLD!!!!

  • Justin Fucking Gilbert baby. Showed his speed and quickness taking his first career pick to the house

  • I felt the final TD was a pick play. Not in the traditional sense coming across the middle but the two receivers ran a crossing pattern and basically crashed into each other and the brown defenders, then crossed making it impossible for Hayden to cover the out route. And I'm still upset at both Witner and Kruger on the 4th down play before - great penetration by Winn and #51 and that was game-over.

  • Hilton had 10 catches for 150 and 2 TDs, not all roses and sunshine on D

No but you're talking about the best offense in a league fixed for offenses. They did a pretty stellar job.

They played above average, lights out in the first half, but there is still room for improvement and Reggie Wayne had some huge drops.

  • Thanks for the sobering shit you took on the games only bright spot

  • Hey great post. 5 QB hits for Mingo... And I all but crapped myself on Gilbert's TD pickoff...

    Loved seeing it.

  • If our defense plays like this against Dalton look out, we'll see more than 14 defensive points.

Sorry man, just want the bar to be set where it should. 49er fans aren't highlighting bright spots today and they are 7-6 in possibly the best division in football.

The 49ers have tasted a lot more victory in my life than the browns.

Mine too, unfortunately I really started liking the Browns in 84-85. Just want a real franchise, one where beating shit teams doesn't feel like a win. Getting closer just don't know how much confidence I have in Farmer. Gilbert/Manziel looks, eh. Bitonio/West, pretty good.
