Your stand up career has to be on fire right now.

I just hope it was pettines decision based on what he knows & not pressure or hype. He was smart enough to see through johnny's buffalo drive.

See through Buffalo's drive? We scored, why couldn't Brian score in garbage time?

Pettine sad that buffalo was in a prevent D & gave johnny the short field so it wasn't a true test. I'm glad Pettine is analyzing & not suceeding to the hype. This may not be pretty folks, but i do think our D alone can pound the bungholes johnny or no johnny.

Not joking. He'll be there at 10:55.

I'm glad he made it exciting, Hoyer would have folded or thrown a pick.

I'm glad Manziel has more TD's this month than Hoyer and is a better QB

  • i don't think the browns want to promote the elf thing because lewis called manziel a midget.

by doing so wouldn't the browns be saying lewis was right?

  • Fair enough. I'm stoked on the D so i still think this game is very winnable. Go Browns.

Dalton may have double the qbr of the first game.
  • With Johnny starting and the D playing at a high level (without Taylor, Hughes and Gipson - mind you) First Energy will be loud as hell. They should measure the sound levels so we can set the record.

  • Johnny is going to be pretty damn excited when he wakes up and hears the news!

Biggest LOL in a long time... Fucking awesome, Steve...

  • Here is my hope after watching many JFF college games on Youtube. I am not a JFF fan boy by any means, but since he is our QB, I will support him.

My hope? That the magic that occurred between JFF and Evan's can be re-created with Gordon. The physical appearance between Evan's and Gordon are almost identical. They are both freakishly tall and physical players.

Half of the JFF magic at Texas A&M must be given to Mike Evan's. How many times did Johnny throw one up into triple coverage, only to be bailed out by the physical play of Mike Evan's.

I get the feeling that Gordon and Manziel are going to make a great team together. Both Manziel and Gordon are impromptu players who have a certain level of "make it up as you go" play making ability. I think that Hoyer and Gordon were never going to get into sync, because Hoyer is a timing QB. Gordon didn't seem to like the timing patterns at all...

I hope that Johnny and Josh are this generations Rice and Young...

    Time will tell.

    BobPound!

  • God I hope so, watching Hoyer overthrow that guy on Sunday was vomit inducing.

  • I see what you did there... Funny stuff 🙂

  • I just hope it was pettines decision based on what he knows & not pressure or hype. He was smart enough to see through johnny's buffalo drive.

There was little doubt it was going to be Manziel. Pettine as much said the only reason he didn't pull Hoyer against the Colts was because the Browns were winning. It's mighty difficult to pull your starter in that situation. In this particular game, it reminds me of what was once said about Vinny Testaverde- "he played just good (bad) enough to get you beat." Really since the Bengals game his qbr is somewhere around 49-not good enough.Since the Cinci game Hoyer terribly regressed- who knows, maybe he was pressing. He easily left 14 points get away missing wide open Gabriel and Gordon on deep routes- and another 7 if you're not buying he threw a lousy pass towards Cameron in the end zone that got picked. Plenty of other errant throws on intermediate routes with receivers wide open. 45% completion rate- little wonder Pettine had seen enough.

    Which one?

  • I'm supporting the Midget 100% We need to win out even though it looks pretty dismal thanks to Hoyer's ineptitude and ego.

  • I don't think JF will get killed. Nobody said that about Russell Wilson and he's shorter than Manziel. Also Drew Bree's is only 6'0" and he's a hall of famer. This gives the organization a chance to look ahead and see what we need in the draft. Like they should have back in May when they drafted Manziel.

  • Trying to ignore idiots like Dukes, and give a prediction. I usually don't like doing predictions, but Johnny's never let me down.

Johnny is going to be so much better than Hoyer, it won't be funny. He will be making most of you say, "Holy shit, why did we wait so long??!!" He will throw for 250+ and run for 70, and will RARELY GET HIT. He'll lead the offense to 30+ points and almost 500 yards.

"He's too small." He's always been small and he's never walked onto a field where he wasn't the best player on it.

"He'll make rookie mistakes." Yes, he will, but not nearly as many as most expect. He's very careful with the ball when the situation calls for it. Too often in college he knew the defense sucked and he had to take risks to score points. He will not be overly risky with the Browns stud defense.

"He doesn't know the playbook." You are truly a fucking idiot if you think this.

"You're just a fanboy, you don't know what you're talking about." I am a fan of Johnny, yes. I'm also a football fan since the early 70's. I've seen all that could be seen in that time, and I'm telling you, Johnny is special. He's the only one of his kind that I've ever seen. He's not tebow, flutie, Vince young, or any other comparison you could make. I will not be surprised if the Browns win these last 3 games relatively easily.

In Aaron Rodgers' word, "relax", Johnny's got this.
