Apparently it was to hard to get JUCO players through admissions, and the school was to cheap to pay assistants.

Hired as Oregon State head coach.
Not really a step up or down.

I think Oregon State is a step down from Wisco. I had heard about the assistant salaries thing, but I didn't know he complained about the JUCO admission policies too. Wisco is a great school, it affects recruiting.

It is a step down in terms of the quality of the program.....but supposedly it is a step up in terms of the lifestyle this guys family wants to lead. West Coast and all that. Though I suspect there must be some issue there about the money as Beilema quit and so did this guy.

I see Barry Alvarez will coach the bowl game. They might have a chance with him on the sidelines.
