The Browns’ placekicker is a late-week addition to the injury report.
Billy Cundiff (knee) will be questionable for Sunday’s game vs. the Bengals, Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer reported Friday.
Mary Kay Cabot@MaryKayCabot#browns kicker billy cundiff added to injury report as questionable with knee.happened ThursdayAccording to the Plain Dealer, the Browns are prepared if Cundiff cannot kick, coach Mike Pettine indicated.
Mary Kay Cabot@MaryKayCabot#browns pettine said club has contingency plans if Cundiff (knee) can't go.The Browns worked out three kickers earlier this week: Zach Hocker, Nate Freese and Garrett Hartley.
The 34-year-old Cundiff is 22-of-29 on field goals this season. He has missed one field goal in each of the five games for Cleveland (7-6). He was wide right from 40 yards in the Browns’ 25-24 loss to the Colts on Sunday.

I think l would rather see us punt or go for it on 4th down than watch any more Cundifficulties.

Ode de Hartley?.....hope it smells better......

haha....wouldn't be surprised......after the "injury" report, I was expecting 1) cuntiff to kick....2) another miss....3) the injury to be the excuse....Glad THAT didn't happen...
Time to hope the grass is actually greener in Hartleyville......has to be, right?

Hartley has to be better. If the Browns are serious about winning this is a good thing.
Sure...
Lifetime 81% kicker with half his games indoors, who has been out of the league for almost a year has to be better.
But he is 6 for 8 from 50+, so those with a hard on for that stat ought to be tap-dancing...
Go Browns...

At this point in the season some of you want a new kicker?
LOL
And Dawson? LOL....The guy wanted out of here. That is why we had to franchise him for 2 years. What is it you people don't get? Dawson wanted out of Cleveland and the only way he was going to stay was if we didn't allow him to leave with a tag.
Got it?
Ok I will give you the Dawson part, you are right I believe. How in the hell could you question wanting a new kicker "at this point of the season". Cundiff has cost us at least 2 games. He is the worst kicker in the league and we are not out of the playoff hunt. People asked this same question weeks ago when he should have been replaced. The better question is how in the hell can you not see we need to replace him immediately. He is so bad that not only does he miss gimmes but we literally punt multiple times when any other team would try a field goal and hit them at about 68%. Why?? Because they know our turd is at best 28% from 50.

And let's emphasize that they were all 44 yards or closer. It's not like we asked him to shoot for the moon in any of those that were missed.
Right-had Cundiff made that 40 yarder against the Colts- it's a different story in the 4th quarter. I posted Billy's career stats compared to Dawson's in another thread- and they suck. Can't blame Phil for not wanting to be here, but you know the continual losing finally got to him. He wanted his shot at a ring- and it looks like it's not going to happen for him in San Fran either.

Injury waiver/settlement if that is the case. Which means he gets paid for the time he is injured, but he is off the roster as of now.
