Gilbert also suspended for being late.
West has been habitually in the Dog House for being late this year - that's why he didn't play last week.
Would really hate to see Pettine go, but if Haslam has Harbaugh on the hook to come in it might be tolerable.

When the Browns fired Chudzinski I had delusions of some great coaches coming here to replace him. I soon discovered they all went to other teams or turned down the Browns flat out. Why? It has to be our history since 99 with the merry go round of coaches. I was getting worried until they hired Pettine whom the Browns had done their homework on and got the best coach possible. If they don't give this coach time to build this team it will just be another huge mistake by this organization. I personally don't buy they will let him go after only 1 year. If they would let Pettine go after 1 year good luck on getting a better coach. (and Pettine will go to another club and do just fine)

Pettine is not going to be fired after this year, partly because the browns just canned their last coach after a year and they dont want to take the bad pr hit firing a second coach after one year would cause.
That said, its not looking great for pettine after next year. If we dont make massive improvements I dont see us getting to 8 wins once our schedule flips(and goes from basically the easiest in the league to not the easiest), and if he doesnt
get to 8 wins I think he is gone after next year.
He's too much of a noname/unknown quantity going in that he gets more than 2 years.

IMHO, get rid of Gordon, give Johnny & Gilbert the off season & training camp to start acting like men & REAL NFL players.
Bottom line is that Pettine MADE them accountable & the "little boys" didn't like that. TOO DAMN BAD!

I doubt this clown has any reliable sources. But if there is ANY thought about letting this guy go, it would be a total shame. The whole season has been tanked over a QB that I guarantee you he didn't want and knew couldn't play.

On Friday, coach Mike Pettine had an odd answer when asked about his future with the Browns, given what happened the previous season with Rob Chudzinski. Pettine said: "It's still in season, so I'm not going to address anything from a job status stand point." It might mean absolutely nothing, but it still is odd.

pettine probably doesn't want to be here...phwapppp...who the hell does..you say another hugh mistake, has anything changed 16 yrs and counting...up to this day the biggest mistake was resurrecting this team.....

I trust you're talking about Hoyer. This season has sucked from the start. Sports Illustrated was out of its mind when it was singing the praises about Hoyer (not to mention crowning the Astros 2017 World Series champs). The injury last year did the boy in. I have a hard time finding anything positive about our offensive play except to say it was offensive!

still need line help on both sides of the ball but to say farmer needs to address the offense in the draft would be an understatement.
besides the OL (which needs help) i think a lot of guys will be gone. crowell, gabriel and hawkins should be the only fuckers feeling comfortable with their job positions right now going forward.
