Suh will play....

I'd take him on our team in a heart beat... But we'd have to make him the highest paid NT in history which I'm not OK with.

I bet if he was here, the fans would love him. Conrad Dobler had a bad rep for being a dirty player too. Granted it was a couple of years ago but the history is there. I know we need a bad assed NG too. I doubt we ever get him though so I won't worry
-
he's the type of guy who's going to take the highest bid, get paid a shit load of money and then do absolutely nothing for the rest of his career.
haynesworth anyone?

Ya, I can easily see that happen with him....Raiders?
HA! you'd think the raiders would finally figure it out....(meanwhile that's prob what their fans think about the browns, lol).
i mean don't get me wrong the browns need a couple of DL in the worse way but i just think suh is the wrong way to go and seeing as haslam and the FO/staff are trying to weed out the 'bad' players, don't know if suh would be welcome.

I want mean nasty mother fuckers as much as anyone...but not dirty cheap shot artists, c'mon ed you couldn't seriously want this guy on the team unless losing him meant absolutely nothing cause we had at least his equal sitting on the bench. Which we wouldn't cause we'd have to pay him too much to keep decent depth on the bench at DL. I mean if Gordon is a problem and a "cancer"...what adjectives in the English language do justice to what Suh is?

Yeah I think Pettine would quit on the spot if Farmer came to him with that idea. No way Pettine goes for that with everything this team went through this year with their problem children. Why bring on a 310lb baby Huey who's gonna stomp on people after the whistle cause he's gettin blocked well that game.

They showed the replay of him backing up twice on Rodgers ankle. This is the guy that deliberately kicked Shaub in the privates on national television. His teammate Raola was suspended for stepping on one of the Bears. It's amazing to witness these guys! And when other teammates stick up for them it's even more amazing.

and to see that another guy on your team who was suspended for the exact same thing was costing your team on the other side of the ball. Cleveland fans of all fans know what the loss of your starting center means. Unbeleivable.

You're right I don't like the cheap shots but we could use a mean M'fer like him. Not him though, but if we didn't have to grossly overpay for him I'd bring him in.
I understand emotions getting out of control sometimes, but Suh will take 10 plays off and suddenly decide to make a play and shove his knee into someone's facemask after they're down. Let's draft a big nasty ourselves this year, I don't think Pettine will tolerate some of the stuff Suh does, but he isn't going to change.

great our own version of James "cheap shot" harrisoon...

Not only should he have been suspended, he should get the max fine allowable. Guy has a history. Like he wasn't "accidentally" trying to break Rodger's leg?
No way the Browns will want him. Besides looking for a contract that will make him the highest paid DL in the NFL. Really- put him on the Browns next year, we're in the playoffs for the first time in forever, and this clown gets himself suspended for pulling the same crap. Still want him?

Pettine wouldn't tolerate Suh period I would venture

GOOD. When I saw the recap of this game and his two steps backwards...I said he'll get fined but that's nothing, they need to suspend him...just in time for the playoffs. Glad they did this.
A couple of articles I found interesting about Suh (and what Joe Green thought of him) when I first read them last year:

Nah... Difference is Suh has already been paid. $22 mil this past season; $64 mil over the course of his last contract.

Agree... suspension was warranted, it surprised me*, but was warranted.
The linked articles are misleading. They want to imply Mean Joe and Suh said "keep playing dirty", when real message I saw was "keep playing hard, keep playing with attitude".
Difference was I think Joe knew where "the line" was, Suh doesn't seem to. For that reason I do not want Suh on my team.

Seems like they want to emulate the browns the last 5 or so seasons. They're interviewing mangini and shurnur. I understand the mangini interview but shurmur? For fucks sake the guy just doesn't have it for a head coach.

Yes I picked up on the sutle differences implied in those articles, but still found it interesting. One part I took note was where Joe commented people don't know what it's like to be in the trenches. Some of that read to me that you have to play dirty to succeed. Yet plenty of the greatest D Line players are not known for being dirty. Therefore, if you lack the talent of the best, so you have to make up for it somewhere else...playing dirty.

And I think its funny the NFL is so concerned about its players images and is now coming down on their off the field conduct. But they are lobbing soft balls at a perpetual offender. I think I heard his past offenses aren't being considered anymore but cmon. You should only get a certain number of strikes before you're completely out.
Once a turd always a turd (looking at you too john boy)

I love the way suh plays but he cant seem to turn it off. He's dirty as hell. I'd still love to him at the nose in the black and gold even with the penalties and the suspensions. He's a damn monster. Who knows, costing himself a playoff game may be his turning point. He was doing the cha cha on Rodgers tho.

He's a damn monster. Shockingly he is supposedly a really nice guy off the field.
