  • I must have missed the bit in the article that talked about black people being victims?

I think possibly he means that the rise in police killings has been spurred on by the overreaction to a couple stories of black criminals being shot by police. Did you see it some other way?

I wasn't sure how to see it - I'm not so good at interpreting Cal-logic, apparently.

If you look at the bigger picture, you see that over the past 10 years, the average number of police deaths is about 150. 2013 was a 'down' year for police deaths - the lowest, in fact, since 1944 - and that 2014's number is in line with, but still below, the recent average.

I don't know whether the numbers vary so much because of any great social event such as the killings discussed in the OP's article, although I don't doubt that a few, such as the recent ones in NYC, were some kind of 'revenge' for it, but whether that's enough to make such a big difference, I'm not sure. According to this website there were around 9.1 police deaths up to July, and 9.4 from August to December - Mike Brown was shot August 9th, for reference.

  • None of this is to in any way condone police deaths at all, every one is a tragedy. As you may know, my dad was a policeman on the streets for 20+ years and in headquarters thereafter, so this is a subject close to my heart.

  • Even if a black man is completely guilty, he is still a victim?

This has been inspired by the likes of Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, etc etc...

but now, it is also inspired by the corruption and racist views...of Obamao and Holder.

    Must be it...

Must be that protests of two grand-jury, year-end "no-bills" retroactively jacked up an entire year's worth of cop killin'...

Couldn't be that "patriots" defending a trespassers' grazing rights in Arizona April played a role...

Couldn't be the rise in militia participation since 2008 has played a role...

Couldn't be that we clearly need more guns in more hands...

    As stated in the article:

"'With the increasing number of ambush-style attacks against our officers, I am deeply concerned that a growing anti-government sentiment in America is influencing weak-minded individuals to launch violent assaults against the men and women working to enforce our laws and keep our nation safe,' said Craig Floyd, chairman and CEO of the memorial fund."

Look in the fuckin' mirror, cal...

  • In todays world people think thugs that rob stores beat up clerks attack police officers then get shot are victims. I agree holder and Obama escalated it and Jesse and Al always have escalated it for years

We may be related GFT. I could be your great uncle.....

  • Actually, Tour, look in the mirror yourself. Obamao and Holder have both referred

to the black subculture's mistrust, indeed, hatred, of the police.

And it's very well known, that black men murder far more than whites, especially, murder

other black men. The feigned victimization of Brown, etc... ? is just a mass subculture black political

    "black liberation theology" movement.

That explains why they persist in false narratives, that the facts prove wrong....

why they simply lie for the emotional appeal of their lies about "victimization" where none

exists, for the black man who gets killed in self defense.
