  • Sweet. I presume this means 10oz of Bud Light will still be $9?

  • I am sure they will. I think a big part of that is a NFL dictate. I think the object is to offer beer and drinks. Not make it the destination for cheap beer and drinks, if you get what I am saying. It's foolish to complain about stadium concession costs....it is what it is. Been to a movie lately? A box of popcorn, a candy and a drink sets you back $20.....and that is friggen popcorn.

Just from the limited looks, the clubs look cheaper IMO. Looked like cafateria seating in one of the county schools, but I'll hold judgment until I get a look in person next September. Overall, I think the upgrades done last year were tremendous

  • I care about it. I like sitting in a nice venue and being able to warm up from time to time.

We all want winning football, but that is a totally different issue. The issue being discussed is the surroundings. Win or lose, I'd rather be in nice surroundings.

  • Will my phone finally work?

They have been saying for YEARS that they were going to add wifi and get cell phone reception down there.

As of the last home game against the bungles, it still sucked

    A few observations..........

    1) Do we really give a shit about this stuff? I mean for years we piled into Cleveland Municipal Shithouse, pissed into bathtubs, had our view blocked by poles and second deck over hang, and froze our balls off regardless if we were in our seats or inside the stadium walls. Winning football, I think thats the improvement that matters. Fuck this window dressing, " look at what management has done for you".

Fan experience? Win mother fuckers. Keep ass fucking the Steelers on Sunday............. THAT is the fan experiecne I want.

    2) Look hard at the photos because you will never see that fucking crap on game day........... no lines? no litter? no Steeler fans fucking sheep? Gimme a break.

    3) If they really want to boost the concessions........... let Stan and Roach set up huge tailgating type grill booths all around the place. Now yer talking some shit.

    Agreed.. stupid window dressing...

Yeah- I know Tom- but it's called keeping up with the Jonses- as in Jerry. It is what it is in all the newer venues.

  • I read an interesting article about all this and how the NFL is really hitting the "casual fan" and female demographic. Let's face it, most of us here would go to games if it was hosted in a parking lot. But there's a huge market of people who want the experience of it all and don't care as much to what's going on down on the field. Especially in these cold weather areas, it makes sense.

Some of those sketches made it look like a mall food court...

Make it 9 oz... Hey, beer $1/oz... name your size from 5 to 15.

  • They put a food stand on the opposite side of the concourse. It is right across from the original food stand, so now it is a COMPLETE log jam. You can't even move.

    It's awful!!!!!!!!!

  • So now people can have there upscale dining experience while bitching to the stadium security about the language used in the Dawg pound?

  • I have seen the browns play San Diego and the raiders. Their stadiums suck horse balls. Arizona has a nice stadium. That is why it hosts a lot of events.

I went to Jerry's world to see the Bucks fuck the ducks. I don't remember the inside too much because I was watching OSU destroy their opponent. I don't remember my seat too much because I was standing and screaming the whole time (because OSU was destroying their opponent). I agree with Ghouls on this one, build a badass team who gives a fuck about the stadium. If it's standing, it will do.
  • The NFL cares about the facility, and the younger 20 and 30 somethings need the social media improvements. Do you remember what the fighe was about when the team left? If we would have won Super Bowls in the Kosar era, no one would have cared about the stadium and it would be like Green Bay, ie hallowed ground. We didn't and we had to build one to meet the NFLs criteria, and will continue to have to keep it there. Enjoy it. god knows we usually had plenty of down time in the Stadium until last year.

That's my major complaint about the new stadium. To keep the "feel" of the old place as close as possible, they made the walkways behind the seats pretty narrow. Go into any other modern stadium- Lucas Oil, Ford Field, or Paul Brown and there's 5 times as much breathing room in those venues. Maybe someday they'll fix it- wouldn't be easy, but not impossible.
