Top Draft needs.

The Browns Board

  • I know that Free Agency comes first, and that the draft sometimes is now used to fill in where FA didn't...but here are the Browns Draft needs from NFL.com:

    12. Cleveland Browns
    2014 record: 7-9 (.479)
    Top three needs: WR, ILB, DL
    Top-rated prospects at positional needs:

    WR: Amari Cooper (Alabama),DeVante Parker (Louisville), Kevin White(West Virginia);

    ILB: Benardrick McKinney (Mississippi State), Denzel Perryman (Miami), Eric Kendricks(UCLA);

    DL: Leonard Williams (USC),Shane Ray (Missouri), Arik Armstead(Oregon).

    Can we get two of these guys with our 12/19 picks.....or is there someone else higher on the list.

    (I note that they didn't put QB in among our top needs)

  • when it comes to the DL you should be looking at the nose tackles, and these are the top 3:

  • Here are what some current well know Mock Draft "experts" say the Browns will do with their 2 first round picks:

    Tony Grossi: DT Malcom Brown and WR Jaelen Strong

    McShay: OT TJ Clemmons, WR Devin Funchess

    WalterFootball: DT Malcom Brown, OT Andrus Peat

    NFL.com....4 different writers:

    A. WR Devante Parker, DT Danny Shelton

    B. DT Malcom Brown, OT Andrus Peat

    C. WR Amari Cooper, Bud Dupree

    D. DT Danny Shelton, WR Jaelen Strong

    Draftek: OLB Vic Beasley, OT Andrus Peat

    CBSports: WR Kevin White, WR Devante Parker (2 WRs in 1st round???)

    Bleacher Report: OT La'el Collins, WR Jaelen Strong.

  • My Top Draft needs.

    OL

    Then it depends on what they do with our own guys. Where we are now is not where we will be come the draft.

    I would resign all the top guys here, if possible. Cameron, Gipson, Skrine, Rubin/Taylor(who's the FA, and doesn't one of them have some time left under contract?)

    But IF we did keep all our own guys. I would think OL - WR - TE/FB - MLB ... in some order...

  • Top need....Ignore anything McShay has to say. It hurts to admit there's an Irishman that damned stupid.

  • well, considering some rumors regarding the Browns:

    http://www.walterfootball.com/draft2015rumorsteams.php

    Given all that, it will be.....

    12. Shelton or Brown, (Shelton probably gone) NT

    19. Collins, or Peat as second choice OT

    then in the second round,

    Nelson Agholor, WR, ... or ..... I don't know.
