Andrew Hawkins Article

Apologies if this was posted already, but this is by and large the best article I have read about any player...regardless of the team. Literally moves me to the point of tears.

Fantastic read! I hung in there until the very end... and then got a little misty myself.
I do not think I will ever hear the name, Andrew Hawkins again, and not think "perseverance".

Quickly rising up the ranks of my favorite NFL story/player.
Doesn't hurt that "Whatever it takes" was my senior motto, so that automatically resounds with me more than it may with others.

I do admire him, he was one of my favorite players,
......til he wore the stupidass tshirt before a big loss. - 30-0,
.....to the Bengals.
The distraction was on him, it was stupid.
Other than that, he's still quite a player for the Browns. We need to draft a wr high,
1st/2nd round, and sign one -

If a t-shirt is enough to distract a team, then they shouldn't be winning in the first place.
That's like blaming a car accident on the jogger with big cans.

it distracted me, dammit. @@

Great story. I already liked Hawkins but this cements it.

You beat me to saying that exact thing. Talk about a passion for the game!
C'mon! Somebody make a "Play Like A Brown" shirt with Andrew Hawkins' picture on it.

Born in Oregon, East side of Toledo. The Town may not offer a lot and lots of Folk's struggling but proud. Glad to see this Kid made it and not shamed to say how hard he had to work to get there. Great read for some Teen's in today's World. Forget the Shirt, Who's Perfect? Proud to put the Hawk Jersey on any Day!!

Thought it was a good read

Extremely well written article that was a pleasure to read. This guy must have paid attention while being in school.
Kudos Mr. Hawkins on your perseverance.
