Marshall and Bowe

The Browns Board

  • Bowe? No... never have liked him and see no reason to change now.

Marshall? Tougher call. While he's been productive wherever he has gone, he always seems to have some shit swirling around him. There is a reason he has seen time with three teams. And then there is his drop history... So I end up at no as well.

  • Marshall is a great wideout..... but he is a little bitch. He'd be a headache for a team like the Browns at this point.

Bowe is a big target, not sure what the deal is on him. Did he even have a TD catch last year? I think KC went most of the season without a WR touchdown. Plus he is 30 years old...

I think the best option for the Browns at this point for a #1 wideout would be to draft a hungry young kid, or find a guy that is still in his prime that feels like he got the shaft from a previous team and has a chip on his shoulder. (Most likely wouldn't be any bigger name guy)

Dwayne Bowe has one of the greatest names to use for fantasy football teams though....

  • I think Bowe just needs a change of scenery. I think he was overrated in the beginning of his career and people hold that against him. I don't know if he is a fit here, but I think he can rejuvenate his career in the right system.

Marshall for a 5th? Sign me up. I know he's a diva, but he is one of the greats and will make our entire offense better. We don't have a WR that scares anyone and given out situation at QB we can't afford to go the New England route

  • I think I'd rather draft a young, talented wideout

  • BOWE- i am not sure on do not like his production lately but maybe a change of teams would change that

marshall- id love have just worried that he seems be a headcase but i think id give a 5 for him maybe even a 4th no higher though

Far as drafting 1 i think if any of them are left at 12 it will be parker,I like what see of white but have concerns could be a 1 year wonder i really like cooper but he will be long gone.

  • I think the Browns just traded for Marshall......trying to find out more......just a rumor right now....

    I hope that's just a rumor.

My favorite was the one I had a few years ago.

  • Marshall wants to go to a contender so unless the Browns were to trade and extend him at an alarming salary, he won't be in Cleveland.

    Bowe is done.

  • You people wanting Marshall are entirely insane.

The Browns already traded for a multiple year Pro Bowl WR in the middle of his career.. and you should look up his actual stats before concocting fantasies.

His name was Andre Rison.. and he was signed in the same stage of his career as Marshall.

With Andre, the Browns had made the playoffs the year before.. and his stats tell the tale. Rison did have the last laugh, though: He made the pro bowl again 2 seasons after his year with Cleveland.

And Marshall is far from a headcase: He's the national celebrity spokesperson for borderline personality disorder, something he fought and conquered.

  • Borderline personality disorder is a woman's disorder. Says something about that guy.

  • 100% incorrect, it affects women and men equally.

Your ignorance says something about you.

  • He'll be just fine in Cleveland. They will let him eat here for free.

  • Meh, more used up talent.

  • Marshall being traded to the Jets according to Schefter

  • Yep

  • yup to jets for a 5th

  • Wonder if this means Hartline is going with the Bears.

  • The Jets FO just executed a fantastic move.

By acquiring Marshall and cutting Harvin, they are keeping their fourth round pick and saving about $3 million in cap hits this season, while acquiring a legitimate #1 outside receiver. Kudos to them.

In essence, their WR corps just got better and cheaper at the same time, which is a rare occurrence. Now, if they so choose, they can use that 4th round pick to try and land a shifty slot receiver to fill Harvin's void, like Stefon Diggs.
