Dwayne Bowe Cut

The Browns Board

  • Looks like we need a solid wide out and Bowe fits that role (so says the LSU grad)

We have to find a tight end and a good offensive lineman (Collins).

Now since my wife will not allow Sunday ticket in the house (I'd still like to get laid) I'm stuck with watching Hoyer - again - (16 weeks of Texans games) unless he gets beat out - and getting pissed off all over again.

  • I am hard pressed to think of a more overrated WR in the past decade and a half...

  • every year there is a dwayne bowe thread here. not surprised to see one again.

i ripped him one pre-season when someone mentioned him and he killed it inthe fantasy league.

    1) do i like him? no.

2)do i want him on the browns? no.

    3) will he do good this year? probably. (see #'s 1 and 2)

Not too familiar with him myself, but I hope you're wrong....where would he rate on our staff?......hearing rumbles.....

My thought exactly. He must hire sportswriters to hype him.

Should have had more with the great game manager Alex Smith

HaHa yeah. He is basically Miles Austin at this point so whomever is cheaper.

I have no beef with Miles Austin as long as somebody can get the ball to him.

    WSS

  • Are you saying Miles got faster this off-season?

Attempted humor aside, I'd take Miles over Bowe any time... much better value.

  • Browns are supposedly talking with Bowe.....wonder why nothing with Miles?....you'd think there'd be something......

  • Maybe Austin's hip injury was a bigger deal than we think?

  • Bowe has played 8 seasons. Other than 1 year when he was injured for much of it, he has always had over 55 catches for at least 650 yards. He hasn't been the star he was in 2010 and 2011 the past few years, but he'd probably immediately be our best WR if we sign him... Plus, a change of scenery might be good for him.

  • Dwayne Bowe? How long has he been playing??? Like forever??? Once again people remember some breakout season or a chris berman reference...somewhere over the dwayne bowe... And think hes a diamond in the rough. Our FA strategy is like a middle school dance, all the confident kids are having a blast, while the browns FO are like the wall huggers waiting for scraps

If you are saying we should be throwing money away like these other teams then I disagree with you. What good will it do for us to sign a 30 year old guy for 20% more then he is worth? Who was the last team that spent big in free agency that went anywhere? Signing FA is just as hard as drafting players. I for one am glad they are being smart and letting the teams with cap throw money away.

When we have a more complete roster then maybe a single big splash in FA will help us, but 1 big name signing isn't going to help this team when we lack depth, and quality starters.

I always took you Tigers for the nutless type 😉

Let's grab a beer over the Browns game in Baton Rouge this year. I'm friends with Sam Nader's nephew so I try to go once a year.

Also will never forget Collins making Myles Garrett his bitch last year. No one will ever do that again, that's for sure.
