  • Hey, woody....looks like my Smith Funchess prediction is coming to fruition......Smith has risen(just as predicted) and Funchess has fallen(as predicted again)...I know things can change, but it's going that way........

And speaking of homers liking their guys(im guilty too).....I just read the Browns sent a contingent down to the Ohio State pro day today......and it was mostly offensive coaches.....including Dflip and the WR & TE coaches......(there's one deep threat possibility right there)...

Steelers and Bungles were there too.....(Marvin Lewis was there, so who's he watching?)

You can say one is rising and one is falling because of the combine if you like, but we'll have to wait and see.

More than likely, as I said before, it will come down to which team decides they want a WR, and what type of WR they want. If the Ravens decide they want a WR, then they'll probably have Smith higher. If the Pats want a WR(/TE hybrid), then they'll probably have Funchess higher.

The main thing killing Funchess' draft prospects, was his 40 time. With his vastly improved time at Michigan's Pro Day, we'll have to see how teams react. I think like 28 teams were in attendance? Something like that.

With Gordon out and Cameron gone, I think he could potentially be a very good pickup for us because of his versatility. But, it would all be dependent on a coach that can effectively utilize him. Broncos, Pats, Saints would all be able to do this. Idk about the Browns though. The only way we probably even think of taking him is if he is there in the 2nd though I think. If we want a #1, using our 12th pick on a more proven top WR prospect is a better choice.

  • talking about taking a chance.......if the price is right ( ie-cheap)......Id pick up Jake Long and rotate him right........

Long has had some knee problems over the past few years, most notably tearing his ACL last year. He had a HOF level start to his career, but has suffered greatly from these injuries. I think, if everything checks out in a physical, he could be a steal and a very good RT. The only issue though is his current health and his health going forward.

  • Any of our scouts in Hobart yesterday Ali Marpet's Pro Day??

Of the 10 teams that were said to have attended, I can only find the Raiders, Iggles and Niners names specifically.

Ohio.com reporting that Browns had a Breakfast Meeting with one Ali Marpet on Friday AM. Which more than likely they feed the Kid before watching his Pro Day. Um Um Good 😁. That should seal the deal Food...

  • I'm just upset his last name doesn't start with a G... you know, I could do the whole Ali G thang.

  • Anybody have any possible steals from rounds 5-7 this year ?

  • Perrish Cox joins Titans .........snubbed again......next

Maybe the plan was to stuff him and slow him down...

Good question... Time for the annual sleeper thread.

I actually think Tebow could run the shit out of Kelly's offense.

As long as there isn't down field passing required....sure.

Work the sidelines. Short, high percentage passing. I could see it.

Cut the key word and green light and Flip should make the call if his arm is not dead.. It really can't be this hard to upgrade from a Hoyer is it?? Accuracy is a main concern after watching 5yrd. overthrows to wide opens. No dead Arms or Legs or go Draft..

Not a chance. It isn't so much Matt's arm, its between his ears - the guy torpedoed quicker than Delhomme.
