Sad to think the military would ban a chaplain from aiding the family of a dead soldier because he is not politically correct. The problem is that the bible is not politically correct so to be a chaplain today in the military you have to practice the new religion of political correctness. Maybe they can write their own new version of the bible too because they don't like the "old version".

What I meant was a re-writing of the bible. Because political correctness is not compatible with some bible verses you will either have to come up with a rewritten bible that is politically correct or just take a pocket knife and cut out some bible verses.
There is going to be a showdown between religious freedom and political correctness. If you are in the service and you don't want Christian counseling then don't go to a Christian Chaplain and then not like what you hear and complain. It should be that simple.

The Koran has the Creation Tale, Abraham, Moses and Jesus. It's really Mohammed's version of the Old and New Testaments. Anyway, we need to chuck the political correctness in the toilet where it belongs and start profiling terrorists in order to stop them. Our military used to be the strongest in the world. Our soldiers are volunteers and should be treated with respect and dignity.

I don't like the labels and stereotyping but it goes both ways. Because I believe homosexuality is wrong I get the label as a hater or homophobe or something else. I know some gay people and I don't hate them and in fact they are nice people but I can never condone or put my stamp of approval on something I know to be wrong.

I'm guessing most politicians hide behind the bible because they don't have the balls to say what they truly believe which is pathetic politics. We are a country that until recently was a vast majority of catholics.. that is why. Separation of church and state never really existed. Our money says in god we trust ffs...

Dude a lot of them can't help it. I had a good friend come out as gay to me and he started crying.. not because it was hard to say but because he didn't want to feel those attractions. Some people just cannot help themselves so do you still think it's wrong? This guy put a lot of perspective on it for me at least.
Btw this guy is a 3rd degree black belt and most definitely not a pussy. Sadly I know that makes a difference to some people here.

I don't want to see gay people discriminated against or treated badly because they are gay. I thought civil unions were a good way to protect the rights of gays without re-defining the definition of marriage between one man and one woman. Now that is is being changed what is to stop other changes to marriage such as why a man can't have multiple wives. Why should the government be able to stop him? Isn't that his right for the pursuit of happiness?
The gay people I know I like them on a personal level but they know I cannot accept that lifestyle when it goes against clear bible teaching. I would never under any circumstances marry a gay couple and would go to jail first if the government tried to force me.
