Are we really worried about the gang-bangers clogging up our schools? Sure, they'll cut in to the classroom space until, what, 6th grade?
There are a lot of hispanics here that are doing the right thing (minus the income tax thing), but if you've ever watched "illegals" push a caravan of shopping carts through Super Walmart or grocery store, they are more than making up for it in sales tax contributions.
How many income tax dollars are we really missing out on from 10,000-20,000 $9.00/hr concrete laborers? $12.00/hr sheet-rock hangers? Dry-wall finishers nab $13-15/hr (these are all legal employee wages too, which is more often than not what the illegals are earning as well).
Regardless of what the number of illegals that are here, doing the right thing, they don't really fall into the "super-contributor" tax bracket, do they?
They are however, contributing to society with their work, production, etc. More than I can say for some other societal zero's that still get to vote.

I believe amnesty should be given to ALL "illegals". It is just plain wrong to uproot a family and deport them because they didn't have the correct paperwork to file. We should be an open society and openly welcome them into ours. Make them legal and gradually find a way to fix our obviously broken immigration policy. What we have now is not working.

You know what, as a man whose now been laid off for the first time in my life, I would gladly take one of their "illegal" jobs. By the way I applied at all 5 McD in my area, not hiring. And my uncle, whose owned his own construction business for 20+ years, is having a very hard time getting any work. You've got to be kidding me, unemployment is at 7.2% now (Conservatively, it might be closer to 20%). If you are not here legally then you need to go. You need to go for a variety of reasons, #1 being in a recession (could be depression) AMERICAN's have the right to expect that American jobs are going to American citizens. That the jobs are going to people who are paying their taxes and watching their country (Constitution) go down the tube.
Look we can have every economical argument in the world concerning illegals. But do not underestimate the disenfranchisement that is growing stronger between the citizens and Uncle Sam. By allowing people who are here illegally to continue to receive jobs, education and health care, that divide is only going to grow exponentially worse.

There are many problems with this philosophy. For one thing, lost tax dollars are lost tax dollars, period. It doesn't matter how little the taxes would be, just multiply it over 12 million and it adds up. Illegals are a drain on the economy by using resources without ever paying in. If they have 3 kids born right here in the US, then those kids can get welfare, food stamps, etc. And the illegal daddy still works and gets paid under the table. The kids then go to school (again, without their parents paying taxes) without knowing a word of english and expect the school system to adapt to them. They drive uninsured cars. They get involved in hit and run accidents. They send money OUT OF THE US ECONOMY and back to their homelands to their relatives. They live 15 people to a 3 bedroom house, tearing it up inside.
They also cause you and I to pay far more for our health insurance and healthcare than we should by clogging up emergency rooms and stiffing the hospital on the bill. Of course they charge everyone else more to make up for it.

You got to be joking right? I guarantee if I lost my job, I could be working at Burger King the next day.

Don't tell me I'm joking. You're not living my life, and I did lose my job on Jan 9th. I don't know where you live, but the county I'm living's unemployment rate is at like 14%. No link, heard it on the local news. So no, I'm not kidding. Don't minimize me b/c you're so sure of yourself.

I live in Elyria. The job I was laid off from an industrial distribution company. I was an outside Account Mananger. Before that I was a loan processor for about a year and a bartender for 4 years @Friday's. I have a BS in Criminal Justice and Philosophy from Ashland University.
If you're serious, I'll think about sending my resume to you.
I only say think b/c this is the internet. It has nothing to do with the sincerity of your offer, I hope I didn't offend.

On Craigslist I see 14 Account Manager job in Cleveland, posted in the last week.

You know what I should add; been there done that on the Account Manager jobs that are really Insurance sales jobs where they want money up front from you for your license. And I guess that could count as being picky, but honestly I don't trust them and I have gotten numerous calls and emails concerning these types of jobs.

I am looking at Craiglist now. I see 4 ad's from resturants just listed today. Bar tenders, servers, CSR's. There are tons on there. Stop talking to me and go apply. There are literally 100's of jobs posted just these week. I will take a look at your resume for you if you would like.

I would not recommend sending someone you met in a forum like this your resume. You don't know who you are really talking to. Just my 2 cents.

LOL. How many resumes have you sent out to strangers? And do you have a listing on Monster, lol. All my contact info is on Monster, look it up. Simpleton.

No need for insults. Just pointing out the obvious. With the response you gave, I would not send you a resume.

Either way thanks for reminding me about Craigslist again. Just put in about 15 resumes. It is like the 4th time I've done that but it's been a couple of weeks again. Being a west sider certainly puts you at a bit of a disadvantage on some of these sites. Most jobs seem to be on the east side. And as a matter of practicality you need to make almost 3-5 more an hour to justify the gas to drive out there. It's maddening I tell you! lol

Well good luck my friend. Craigslist is the best. Last time I was on Monster I got a pop up advertising anti virus software. And Career Builder is a joke, unless you want to join the Navy. There are some good jobs on there, but not many, who's going to pay for listings when you can do it on Craigslist for free.

I believe amnesty should be given to ALL "illegals". It is just plain wrong to uproot a family and deport them because they didn't have the correct paperwork to file. We should be an open society and openly welcome them into ours. Make them legal and gradually find a way to fix our obviously broken immigration policy. What we have now is not working.

its just plain wrong to come to this country without having the proper permissions. not just wrong, illegal.....as in, against the law! oh woe is me for their family.....they sure didn't have a problem uprooting to come here, i dont think they'll mind.
we are an open society, in case you haven't noticed. we have a process....a process these folks you choose to sick up for DID NOT negotiate.....
since when is breaking some laws OK?
