no but don't any of you remember the story from not too long ago about the women who were molested in plain view on the highway by some patrol officers? like full anal cavity search's right on the side of the road. Exactly how good are your guys long term memories?

I don't sit and google about diddling cops everyday so I guess I missed it.

In this day and age where current events are beamed straight into your brain through various gadgets there's really no excuse for being this selectively clueless.

  • that's a great call on their part

  • I'm not saying cops are always right. However not acting fucking crazy like kelly thomas or running away or getting disrespectful or resisting arrest will or oval go a long way toward not getting you killed. Do cops go overboard? Yeah of course they do. They're human. Humans often go overboard in their reactions whether youre a cop or a criminal or a driver with road rage or a fat lady in mcdonalds that doesnt like that theres a pickle on your hamburger. However you don't have to deal with utter bags of shit all day every day. It's a lot easier for you to go "oh but look at Eric garner".

Did Eric garner allow himself to be cuffed? I doubt they would have had him in a choke hold if he did. I get it you don't want to be arrested. No one does. But being arrested is a lot better than being dead.

  • there's going overboard and then there's soccer kicking a guy in the head multiple times "after" he's been tased nearly unconscious like that video this morning from the San Bernardino sheriff's. That's not going overboard. I get getting a little carried away, getting a shot in on a pos. But literally running up to what amounts to a corpse with 5 officers already on it's back, and soccer kicking the head....I mean there's clearly something very wrong going on with these guys. Normal cops don't do this. In the Garner case I would argue there was 7 normal cops and 1 flaring hemorrhoid that didn't need to pry his forearm into the guys throat when the other 6 or 7 guys had the situation completely in hand.

There's just guys that do this kind of shit. And Kelly Thomas wasn't acting "fucking crazy" imo. Nothing he did even slightly warranted that kind of beating. You can see him "completely" complying with the officer on the video in regards to where his hands are...but the cop still yells at him like he isn't doing "exactly" what is being asked of him. That was for the audio recording where if that was all the evidence, one would come to the conclusion that Thomas "must not have' been following the cops orders, but the video clearly shows he was. That's an especially hard video to watch, not because the dude is white..but because he starts screaming for his dad when it dawns on him these cops are gonna kill him. Fuck anybodys whole lineage from beginning to end that doesn't see how fucked that is.

  • Look I'm not a cop lover where I blindly support everything they do. Does police brutality exist? Yes without a shadow of doubt. Do I think a lot of these could be avoided by total compliance? I do.

  • Compliance isn't the issue in this case seeing as how the man is now dead. Arguing whether if he had run or not and if he'd still be alive is a moot point.

In the video I saw, you have an unarmed, slow moving suspect heading the opposite direction of you and you gun him down by shooting him in the back.

That's it, that's all there is to it. There's no way to potentially justify that kind of force. EVEN if he had the cops taser, he's still completing 180 from him more than 25+ feet away.

Shooting to kill is only if there is an immediate threat to your life with a weapon pointed at you or an individual closing distance on your person. I see neither in this film.

  • and there's also the fact that the cop is seen trying to concoct a crime scene to fit his account. That's the triple double of police corruption. And why his own dept just utterly threw him under a whole fleet of bus's. That dudes life is effectively over. He can never be put in general pop either for obvious reasons.

That's not necessarily true although I agree the cop was way out of line, and yes compliance was the main issue that caused the situation to escalate way out of control.

So those women who got anal searched on the side of the highway that we talked about earlier, had they "resisted" that search would you have blamed them for "non compliance"? This is why cops "have" to be held to a very very high standard cause I guarantee if a cop asks you to suck his dick to get out of a traffic ticket you're not going to be very compliant. Now someone could make the argument that had you been compliant and just filed a lawsuit later, you'd still be alive but instead you ran and he chased and shot.

  • Provide some documentation for that

i'm being funny about the dick sucking example but cops have been accused for years, and sometimes caught as well...of soliciting unlawful things from people, mainly from women. I don't know of any instance where someone got shot because they resisted an unlawful request by a cop...but honestly given the astounding videos I've seen come out this year, I simply would not bet against it. To say this behavior from cops is a recent phenomenon is frankly tough to swallow. I think they've been doing this shit for a long time just as they're accused of having done, it's just now they're finally being caught. A bunch of em haven't realized yet we're in the digital age where everyone's got a cam

  • I really cant wrap my head around much of this. Is it poor upbringing? My parents informed me that there were only a few phrases that should be used with police officers. "yes sir, no sir; yes ma'am, no ma'am" Even if it was 'pig this, pig that" with the windows up, as soon as they tapped on the window, you better fucking turn on your manners.

For a specific minority of people that are so overly concerned with being pulled over, arrested, and ultimately incarcerated for "merely looking like a duck (read: criminal)" the minority in question isnt doing much to change the concern. Yes there are inidividuals of this minority thatt are wrongly pulled over, accused, and incarcerated. Theres too much of that. I get it. But make a fucking effort. If you're tired of being unfairly labeled a "duck" there are some steps you can make to change that.

    1. Stop walking like a duck

I know this may be an asshole move on my part to suggest this. It is their cultural perogative to walk like a duck (even if they arent truly ducks) or if ducks have unfairly absorbed this cultural trait. I get it. If this suggestion isnt received because of a specific cultural perogative, then that's fine.

    Let's try something else:

    2. Stop talking like a duck

I know this too may be an asshole move on my part to make this suggestion. Again, it could be a cultural perogative that ducks have gleaned onto well after it was established as a cultural "thing." again I get it.

    3. Stop acting like a duck.

Maybe there is some behavior that resembles the behavior of a duck (to include the walking & talking). Once again - it's a cultural perogative that I am not privy to. It's sad that this behavior is associated with ducks if it wasnt the original intent.

    4. and finally:

FOR FUCK'S SAKE if you are pulled over or questioned unjustly for any of the previous 3 potential cultural misunderstandings, ABSOLUTELY DO NOT FUCKING QUACK YOU ASSHOLES!!!!!

Child support. a broken taillight, etc. absolutely does not justify gun shots to the back. However, if you choose to quack (run from, resist, or attack the police) expect to be treated like a duck. Ducks quack. Dont be a duck.

    Funny? Hilarious, IMHO

    Still ROF,LMAO !

    "sniff" great stuff.

So even though you've posed no threat, running from the cops can get you shot? Might as well call it duck season then bud. Killing a man should only be reserved for the absolute necessity of it. There was no necessity in this matter. That's all that needs to be debated.

Will I agree that the outward appearance of anyone tends to get you profiled? Fuck yes it does. While I do agree how you look says a big part on how you want to be perceived, it still doesn't matter in this case. Had the guy lived the conversation might hold a little bit more water.

I grew up in a smaller town as a kid, my senior year of high school I bought a snowmobile and went out riding at night because the traffic was little. Although its "illegal" nobody was ever stopped unless the cop felt like being an asshole. One night I saw lights behind me around 11pm while riding on a side street... pulled over. Keep in mind I wasn't going fast, wasn't on the sidewalks, etc etc

Realized I was going to catch a world of shit or being told I was breaking "curfew" (which don't get me started on, is a total fucking joke) instead fired my little 440 back up, went about 500 feet, through a ditch and out into a field. Flipped my sled around, flashed my lights... cop took his off and drove away. I don't feel like there's anyway you could justify me being shot for that.

  • So I think we all agree the guy shouldn't have been shot in the back. Unfortunately we get stories like this. Seems like its okay then to break whatever laws you want, maybe you didn't see any cars so fuck that red light or stop sign or perhaps it was late at night and why not drive 80 miles an hour or gee whiz I wasn't all that drunk and I was only a few blocks from my house. The proper response is to run from the police? I'd suggest just not breaking the law and then not being a dick and more than likely nothing bad will happen.

Sure kids will do stupid shit, I know I did. I got lucky and never got arrested. but sooner or later you have to grow out of that mindset.

  • because this site and my browser are still not on the same page I can't post this link but google "police release video of deadly brawl in Walmart parking lot'

I'll give a short synopsis. Police come to a Walmart parking lot to question an 8 person white family that are basically gypsies going around singing about the coming of jesus. Apparently there was an altercation inside the Walmart and when the 4 cops came they tried to separate out one or two of the family members who were allegedly involved in the altercation so that they could question them....absolutely standard procedure. However those family members said fuck you you're not separating us from our family and proceeded to headlock a cop, not joking about that. So long story short a brawl breaks out between the family and the cops. It's like 8 on 4. The family members are actively struggling to get the cops weapons and after awhile one of em does and I think shoots a cop in the foot THEN AND ONLY THEN do one or two of the family members get shot. I defy any of you to watch that video and say that if those family members were black that those cops wouldn't have had those guns out ALOT sooner. Infact it's a massive breach of protocol in that situation, to now have your guns drawn fairly shortly after that brawl ensues. Each cop that didn't draw his weapon while seeing his fellow cops getting double teamed in some cases with the family members pawing at the guns, put his and the other officers lives in danger.

How does a white family get away with this? Black people can't run away from traffic stop or sell single cigarettes on the side of the road ffs...without getting escalated. Until today when I saw this video, I was "firmly" under the belief that Michael Brown got everything that would have happened to me had I dove into a cops car and struggled for his weapon. Now I'm not sure.
