Well the Browns gave up last year's first round.

I personally wouldn't do it for Mariota because I don't see it but I'm not being paid to evaluate talent.

If they think Mariota is their guy then two first round picks isn't completely unreasonable. If they pull this deal off they better hope that Mariota is worth it or they will lose their fanbase, oh wait it's Browns fans they'll always pay the freight.

i said last year before the draft that this would be the year for the browns to seriously think QB, until of course, they drafted manziel.

i liked mariota then and i like him now BUT what i really like is getting 2 picks in the middle of the first.

i like that a whole lot better considering we need around 6 solid players in this draft and wasting 2 of the best isn't smart.

Honestly it depends how freaky each girl was.

I agree and therein lies the draft mystique. We all know this a QB driven league and while you can win without Tom Brady, Alex Smith typically only takes you so far. If Farmer and company think Mariota is the franchise guy then the picks are irrelevant but then their fate his tied to his.

If Mariota turns out to be an Aaron Rodgers, then the picks are immaterial. If Mariota turns out to be Akili Smith, then we're basically no worse off than we are at this current point in time - we're still missing a QB.

Agreed. Not to mention, Shelton is just as likely, or actually slightly more likely. to bust as Mariota, based on percentages. And WRs... good odds of having no impact in the W column...

If thats the case, let them draft Mariota... I'd call their bluff because I dont think he's who they want at 2... For whatever reason...
