PFT: BROWNS think they can acquire Bradford today
-
Farmer can pick me up as an UFA. I have shitty knees and will gladly take their money. I will take the league minimum to be a pal.

LOL! I'd be happy to be picked up as a 68 y.o. FA QB whose claim to fame would be keeping JF in shape with 40 years experience in racquetball.
I've got shots that would keep him running full speed for 2 straight hours every damn day.
 -
I've never played football - think of my untapped potential! I'll take a $2m basic, plus incentives.
-
Trying everything to get a QB... you can't really blame them. I'd give Bradford a shot for a 3rd rounder, but that's about it...

He doesn't want to sign an extension in here. This is never happening

I read that more than a few time also. No way anybody trades for him unless the Eagles have signed him to a contract extension that we haven't heard about.
-
Not wanting to sign an extension here means he doesn't want to play here. Why would I want to force someone onto my roster that doesn't want to participate
-
bradford said in the last philly presser that 'he's staying in philly and is going nowhere."
now i don't know if philly can trade him without consent BUT i wouldn't put anything past kelly. i would hope this thing with nradford and the browns is just more fluff.

They CAN trade him, but it would take a real dumb team to give up a draft pick for a guy who costs $13 million this year, will be a UFA after the season, doesn't want to sign an extension, and hasn't played a full season but twice in his 5-year career...
-
Garropolo now worth a first despite being a second last year and no consequent showing in the NFL?!
I don't want Bradford either but wtf Garropolo?!

I'm not saying he is another Brett Favre but, as you might recall, he was drafted in Round 2, sat on the bench in Atlanta for a year and was traded to GB for a First Round Pick after that initial season.

I'd trade our 12 and get their 20th and Bradford.

That is the death knell for this deal...
Spend a first with the hope that Bradford survives all 16, plays at his 2013 level and falls in love with your franchise? Could be left with no 2016 options, save the franchise tag. Not only would it be very expensive, but we know how players hate the tag. Not to mention that hoping for 16-game seasons back to back from him would be like doubling down with 19.
Beyond the pale...

Pay us to take him off their hands?

Giving up a first round pick for Bradford is NUTS. A fourth, sign me up. Anything more, and I'm on the "Fire Farmer" wagon.

Earth to Mr. Farmer. Please watch the play in the preseason game against the Browns where Sam blew out his knee- a hundred times- and still tell me with a straight face you want this $13 million china doll playing for Cleveland. My bet is he doesn't last 4 games.

I can't wait until the night is over. After tonight we will know if this organization is legitimate or a continuance of the past regimes. Why did they pass on Bridgewater, Carr and Garapollo to get Manziel? And why would they mortgage the future for a quarterback that is so similar to Manziel? If they were a position or two out of contention but they have needs that this draft can solve on day one.
