  • I'm sure future Hall of Famer Big Ben could give Johnny a few pointers on how to act as a starting NFL QB

Probably the stupid shit drunk puss was somebody like you mouthing off then calling the cops when an empty water bottle went fling his way.

Maybe. Or maybe he was a fanboy / ladieboy like you, and made a sexual move towards your hero, and it confused the lil' fella because he liked it.

Thats your insult? Hey I was a theater major I have absolutely nothing against homosexuals. Assholes, on the other hand, are pretty annoying.

  • Imagine if johnny had been drafted by any other team, let alone another AFC North team. Everyone on this forum would be having the laugh of their football lives at the train wreck......... I can confidently say everyone, because there wouldn't be one single forum member here that had Texas, Ag, A&M or Aggie in their user name.

    Ah, one can only dream.

  • this incident is pretty low on the scale of anything but when you add it to manziel's resume from last year and his college antics, it really begs the question: does he get it?

you can all disagree and say i'm crazy but he needs to stay the fuck home and just dig into being a NFL qb. if he can't hack it mentally or physically then i presume this will be his last year as an experiment in cleveland.

and why hasn't the team awarded him a chaperone or a security person?

it's just stooooopid all the way around.

  • Uh oh Mud, now your Browns fandom is going to be questioned for posting such (funny ass) blasphemy about a future former Browns player.

  • I finally get a scoop on a story that wasn't posted yet, which rarely happens, and I get back

on the board after being out in the roaring rain on my tractor, and my title is there, but a page

of comments are ahead of my op. That's funny. 😎

Anyways, I think JF has a lot to live down, but there will always be some compelte slug

who is looking to start trouble. I would think security would have marched the "fan's" ass

out of the scene and off the course.

Though....I didnt really say anything bad.....just said Leave Him Alone..........😉

Of all the busts at the quarterback position in the NFL over the last 20 years the only reason I've disliked any of them for any reason is because they either said something shitty about the Browns or their success would be against the Browns best interests. ( unless he's a sick fuck like Michael Vick)

I believe there is a core subgroup of Browns fans who enjoy haating whoever our quarterback is.

And to answer your question how many other teams quarterbacks would you shit your pants over if they threw a water bottle at an asshole at one of the mildest type of events possible, a damn golf exhibition? This wasn't even a fist fight.

I agree that this incident is about as minor as the thickness of a sheet of paper.... The thing about paper is, one sheet isn't very noticeable, however you stack 100 sheets of paper on top of each other and suddenly it is very noticeable.

This was simply johnny adding another sheet to the stack.

  • i don't know why someone would tweet something like that now if it was 3 years old.

even if it is new doesn't mean that beer is his nor does a fan have the right to start shit with him.

thing that pisses me off about manziel is he can't stay out of the spotlight. getting pics taken at the rangers game right out of rehab, posing with the boys at the cavs game, showing up with a folding chair at a huge event..........

go the fuck to your room and do your homework, order delivery, go to the gym, do your homework, have your girl over and do your homework!!!! jesus christ you were labeled an asshat last year. wouldn't you do everything possible to show people you aren't one by taking your career seriously and show up every day to camp like a new man?

and no he doesn't get the "oh he's just a kid, you did the same thing when you were young' excuse anymore. STAY THE FUCK HOME AND DO YOUR HOMEWORK!! nothing good is going to come out of you popping your head up everywhere as if to say "hey, i'm still here and relevant!"

    I mostly agree with this.

  • I'm not quite sure of the details yet but that bud light bucket is obviously staged for dramatic effect. As I understand Mary Kay broke this story first so there's a lot to be desired before I believe that as fact.

IRVING, Texas (AP) -- Troubled Cleveland Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel threw a water bottle at a heckler in an incident that didn't lead to any arrests or charges at the AT&T Byron Nelson golf tournament.
Manziel had been turning away autograph requests from the fan for about two hours Saturday during the third round when an exchange escalated in the pool area of the Four Seasons Resort where the PGA Tour event is held, Irving police spokesman James McLellan said.
The water bottled missed the 18-year-old male, and someone who was with Manziel pushed the fan, leading officers to intervene, McLellan said. The fan declined to press charges, and McLellan said no police report was filed.
Manziel, the 2012 Heisman Trophy winner at Texas A&M, was recently released from a 10-week stay in rehab and is going through offseason workouts with the Browns. He's expected back in Cleveland this week.
McLellan said there was no indication Manziel had been drinking.
In November, a Browns fan alleged that he was attacked by ''Johnny Football and his entourage'' at a downtown Cleveland hotel where Manziel was living at the time. McLellan said it wasn't clear what caused the latest incident to reach a point where Manziel responded by throwing the water bottle.
''He threw it toward him but it missed him and I think it was just as much fault on the part of the person that was heckling him to escalate things to that point,'' McLellan said. ''Johnny didn't really have any kind of a complaint to make. If he did, he didn't say anything.''
The Browns declined to comment on the incident, and his agent didn't return text messages.
Manziel had a rough rookie season after the Browns drafted him 22nd in the first round in 2014. He was the backup to Brian Hoyer most of the season and played poorly in two starts. Now he's the backup to Josh McCown as he tries to prove he deserves a chance to be the starter.
The 22-year-old Manziel hasn't spoken to reporters since his release from a facility in Pennsylvania that specializes in issues with substance abuse. He has faced questions for several years about his active nightlife and was repeatedly photographed drinking alcohol during weekend trips to Las Vegas after he was drafted by Cleveland.

What a stupid situation all around, good grief. No matter your opinion on Manziel it's pretty sad we have police time that has to be wasted to report this..

  • and that isn't on manziel. that's on the asshole fan.

still, you know you are not an average joe and people are going to harass you in one way or another (both pos and neg) so you can't do things like the average joe.

when you go to da club you go right to the champagne room.

This is exactly my problem with the situation. He was drafted in the first round last year and he's behind Josh McCown. Behind Josh fucking McCown on the depth chart. All this bullshit he's putting the team through shouldn't be happening, but hey I guess that's exactly what we deserve for having a meddling owner.

  • What a disaster. If this pseudo-talent (JFF) can't keep his cool when he's getting heckled by a drunken idiot, how is he going to keep his head when the blitz is coming?

Sad to witness the Browns having to live through the results of this absolutely horrendous round 1 draft decision.

I just hope that McCown doesn't get injured.

  • @tim-couch-pulls-out said:

So going to sporting events is how athletes say "I'm relevant!" Going out in public is a cry for attention. Not being chauffeured directly from the practice field to his house is him being immature.

The hot takes from the Browns Board.

if it was my job to win over everyone that doubts me and has questions about my work ethic then i'd be doing EVERYTHING the right way and stay away from anything that might have people scrutinize my commitment in anyway. and of course it doesn't mean you can't go anywhere, just don't be 'johnny football celebrity' until you've earned that status as a brown.

    get it now thick head?

It's not his job to win anyone ever. His job is to win football games. Whether he does that or not remains to be seen, but I'm not going to chastise a guy for watching golf in June.

Do you think he really cares about your opinion of him?

  • Anyone wanna go back to the original thread when we drafted Johnny, and see who here thought it was a fantastic choice?
