    I simply laughed at your use of the wordage "Bad Boy" and described the difference between a real bad ass and water-bottle throwing elf that likes to flip people off. That's not bad ass.

    I think that sounds really gay. He was an exciting player who won a lot of games in college and I hope he can be the same in the pros.

    So far it isn't happening, but I haven't completely given up on the elf yet.

    Define "bad". In the traditional sense....yes, he is a bad boy.

    He's a hell of a golfer too.....great actually....

    My nephew is one of the Pro's at Barrington and played caddy(for Hartline) when the Browns recently had their outing......he said JFF was one of the best golfers out there and there were some really good ones......(including one caddy I happen to know well)...

    So he can hit a ball, thats for sure.......

    War that's about as rational as ISIS going Adolph Hitler on the Middle East. We get that you remember the Johnny Football we hoped we drafted. The only person that's been showing us we got Johnny Blutarsky instead is.... Manziel.

    ALL of us want to see the Johnny Football that went into Nick Saban's house and owned it against the about-to-be National Champs. Not just the A&M alumni that decided they suddenly like the Browns. Keep in mind, the SEC QB we did not have to draft went 10-2 with 24 TDs to 1 INT. This guy actually knew the plays when it was his turn to start for Cleveland; so there were no excuses required. Not only that, but check out some of his pre-draft fitness metrics that don't take a backseat to Manziel either.

    Me thinks Manziel's biggest enemy isn't alcohol or his 2 minutes of fame - it's the quiet guy that's been a film rat taking his short window of opportunity way more serious than somebody that's too satisfied with what's in the rear view mirror. The more we hear "he's gonna" the more that means "he still hasn't." We're not waiting to exhale here when the only questionable rookies in 2014 were Manziel and Gilbert considering the undrafted bargains that were willing to outwork and outplay them.

    We've already seen Braylon Edwards prioritize alcohol induced barfights and Tequilla Sunrises with Donte Stallworth when he wasn't getting glass in his foot from racing his buddy in bare feet. That's the kind of stuff we've seen from talented prospects that didn't prioritize football longer than a cup of coffee here. When Edwards worked his tail off 2 years post surgery to prove he could regain the form that got him drafted 3rd overall, that showed us what a guy prioritizing football can do with focus and a pro work ethic. We also saw a completely different player when partying became a bigger priority. You don't just go from 16 TD receptions in 1 year to WTF. We relived this with Josh Gordon so there's some good reasons to doubt prospects getting more headlines for partying. Don Rogers went from Rookie of the Year to dead just 1-2 years later. History hasn't lied to us yet!

    Yep.....thats 4 potentially amazing careers completely trashed by a lack of maturity and/or bad behavior.....

    Trent Dilfer was too. This was at such an extent there had to be people asking him - are you sure you want to keep making an ass of yourself on the gridiron instead?

    In 97 when I volunteered 2 mornings a week to TB's off season strength and conditioning program - Dilfer announces for all to hear that I'm his favorite station in the Hammer Strength circuit. Before I could celebrate what I thought was a compliment he immediately clarified it's because I count by 2s. What a bastard - that was hilarious! I got him right back with that's only on the mornings Trent doesn't brush his teeth. No wonder why his wife kicks him out of the house.

    Well done. Forgot about KWII. If he wasn't such an epic dumb ass, he would have been awesome at helping to set the edge prior to countless knee surgeries and staff infection that 2 brain cells on speaking terms could have easily avoided. Instead, we got a glorified WR that was never healthy enough to practice in order to play on Sundays. He ended up with good receiving numbers but he didn't come anywhere near to what his his fitness projected. We only got him on the field 2 of his first 4 years. With all these guys we're talking about, their biggest enemy always seemed to be themselves. Diehards here remember all this enough to understand history hasn't lied yet. A&M's 12th Man types are going to have to take off the college football diapers if they want to join our culture where the idea hasn't always been as good as the reality...

    2007 was a fun year and all. But we rearranged the Milkyway to take Braylon instead of trading back and adding picks for the best QB (Aaron Rodgers) in the draft class: and trading up for Winslow rather taking another famous motorcycle rider Ben Riden Roethlisberger later.

    Remember when we signed Don Strock to sneak in a couple starts in between all his tee-times and tanning sessions? That guy was a riot and surprisingly effective despite his age and rust factor.

    My dad got to meet his childhood idol Otto Graham on a golf course when he moved to Sarasota after retiring. He told me Graham was an incredibly gifted golfer and really good person.

    I was telling somebody why the Browns had such a big following in Rochester, NY where I was born and raised. Part of it was Jimmy Brown and Ernie Davis went to Syracuse, which made it easy to continue following them like our A&M newbies today if you will. The OTHER reason was Otto Graham played Pro Basketball for the Rochester Royals when they won the Championship. That got a lot of people intrigued. When he led Cleveland to Pro Football Championship Games in 46,47,48,49,50,51,52,53,54,55 (winning 7 of those of suckers) - there's their meatball on spaghetti. He had them at Rochester; and I'm betting that's a big reason Rochester had at least 3 active Browns Backers Clubs in the early 90s. Can you believe that a pro football player before Deion Sanders, Brian Jordan and Bo Jackson was actually capable of playing 2 professional sports? Also, can you imagine if Otto Graham had a roof over head without any wind, rain, ice or mud slicking up footballs and field surfaces? But don't any of us dare bring up the poster boy of WCO or 10 consecutive Championship appearances in the same sentence as Peyton Manning? Anyone remember what happened after Ty Law and NE's secondary mugged Indy WRs downfield all game long in the AFC Championship? I'll help, the alleged best of all time and his head coach brought their terrible 2's tantrum to the top of the league saying Peyton could not play QB in the type of setting Otto Graham thrived in. Aside from the climate controlled roof, Graham didn't get all the rules babying passing games to promote more scoring. There's never been a more successful stretch of 10 years from any QB I know of. Meanwhile, has their been a QB that needed more post season Heimlich Maneuvers than Peyton Manning? What kind of ranking system doesn't get the difference between these 2 guys at all? I'll wipe my ass with era bullshit; because the biggest reason anybody has witnessed QBs like Joe Montana, Steve Young, Donovan McNabb and Brett Favre is because there was a WCO pilgrim like Otto Matic Graham. The passing era didn't START in our lifetime - it merely got recycled, babied and coddled...
