  • While I have "zero" problem with the outrage that's following that dentist around, I agree with Rubio that it's strange the PP thing hasn't generated similar.

Back to the dentist, yeah fuck that guy. Claiming he didn't know it was a protected Lion is complete horseshit cause of what he paid backdoor. And the whole thing where the cocksucker had to shoot him with a bow so that the poor thing lived for 3 fucking days before they found him again and ended it. I can't stand these people, I literally cannot. Some of you who will have grandchildren, they will not see animals in the wild. They're gonna have to subsist on Nature re runs, and then you'll have to explain why these animals don't exist in the wild anymore. It's pathetic.

I understand hunting for sustenance, sport and trophy hunting I have zero tolerance for. This dentist is lucky i'm not Ceasar...cause I'd say good on you mate for that bow shot that's so impressive, but what's gonna impress me even more is when you kill another lion in a cage with your bare hands. And that's when I front snap kick him into a lion pit.

Except that "strange" is not the proper word.

  • Getting large sums of money from foreigners to hunt one animal, so you can reinvest it and potentially save dozens, seems like the only strategy they have though.

  • This was plain wrong. Just some pussy wanting a trophy head to hang up in his den. What a fucking man.

Well I guess we could open up a reserve and let hunters come in and shoot death row inmates. I bet that would help offset the costs of incarceration!

    😉

Well, there's also the traditional type of animal tourism.

  • Why is a lion any more tragic or important than the scores of coyote/ cougars/ alligator/wild boar/bear hunted every day for sport? Lions aren't even endangered by most conservationists reckoning. So I don't see what the big deal is. Maybe if the animal were endangered and he wasn't issued a government permit to hunt lion I would give a shit.

Maybe because lions, like elephants are "majestic". Think of it as white privilege for that class of animal. 🙂

  • Disappointed to see the outrage over this lion's death and not so much with Planned Parenthood selling baby parts but human life has gotten real cheap these days.

I don't understand why anyone would want to kill the big game animals in Africa but my understanding is it usually does more good than harm as these hunters pay large sums of money that goes back to wildlife conservation and the animals they kill are the ones to either thin out a herd or an older animal.

Apparently not the case here and if the dentist knew about this illegal hunt he should be prosecuted to the max.

Now Jimmy Kimmel weep no more for Cecil but there is still Planned Parenthood you can shed some tears over.

That may not be entirely true. I think Lions are just at the cusp now where in a few years they will be at the current rate of decline. So people are obviously trying to take measures before that happens.

This isn't just about one Lion.....it's the point that these hunters think they can pay large sums of money for the privilege to hunt endangered or damn near extinct animals like that stupid little whore who shot the black rhino which imo was way worse than this. Relatively speaking there's literally a handful of them left. Same thing, stupid little bitch spent daddy's money to shoot one under the guise of "conservation". I hope she gets lost one day out in the bush and a bunch of orangutans find her and show her what happens to stupid little human bitches who wander off. Double vag double anal.

I'm on the fence about that practice, but on certain reserves they don't earmark animals for that...and this was one of those reserves and one of the Lions they did not have penned for that. This dentist fgt knew that, knew the animal was popular and thought what a sweet trophy to hang on my wall and tell my other fgt hunting buddies about. He wanted to be able to tell people about this "special" kill he was able to procure.

I don't care that his practice has ended, this dude still needs found and gay raped.

  • So what makes them different from other animals? I guess in a way, not much. But of course I think that anyone that kills any animals dogs cats squirrels rabbits, Indian babies or whatever for the sheer fun of killing something is fucked up so that's that.

  • I do not hunt but I have friends who do.

I do eat meat and wear leather.

But anyone who kills for fun is a sick bastard.

    my feelings....exactly.....

And, I will admit, I do let some friends hunt at my place.....though they do eat the meat, etc.....

But just killing an animal for fun and/or paying 55k to kill something and get a pic with your "trophy"....that is for psychopaths....

  • It's a hard old world, Steve. Shit we don't like is going to happen. In the grand scheme of things though this isn't but a drop in the hat. While the world is up in arms about Cecil the lion five critically endangered elephants were poached with no blood bounty paid by Tanzanians with nary a hand wrung over it

    https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/worldviews/wp/2015/07/29/as-the-world-mourned-cecil-the-lion-five-of-kenyas-endangered-elephants-were-slain/

  • Oh I understand your position, and there are people that think I'm fucked up for eating hamburgers. If you want to take it an extra step who gives a fuck about endangered species? Hundreds of known species disappear every year. And when you get right down to it what difference does it make?

    Still...

I think people are enraged in general. Yes I could quite literally rip a mans jaw off with my bare hands if I found him poaching an elephant or a rhino. I want people to die horribly over this. I'd pop the 7th seal if it meant that shit comes to an end. I'm getting really fucking sick of people. For a fucking trinket. A mother fucking trinket. But hey, nature is a resource for us to exploit to our whim an fancy right?

  • Why is a lion any more tragic or important than the scores of coyote/ cougars/ alligator/wild boar/bear

    ***************************************************

Coyotes are a danger, and a nuisance in populated areas. So are cougars.

And alligators, though, would also get way ,way overpopulated and are a serious danger to

people and pets. and they eat alligator.

Same thing with wild boar. And they eat wild boar. Groundhog holes get people and horses and pets injured, especially

in winter. I don't know about hunting bear - don't think they eat bear..

but the lion was deliberately lured away from a protected area - an animal that knew protection and was not

afraid of people shooting at it.

  • Not a fan of this.

I hunt for food, and make sure I bring the appropriate caliber to humanely take down the animal instantly.

As for the conservation stuff, I'm ok a with that - as long as they take an "earmarked " trophy. And again, bring enough damn gun you stupid fucks.

If Cecil took off and ran after being hit with a broad head from a crossbow (that's fucking impressive for those keeping score), one of the guides should have already had a bead on him with a 300 win mag or larger and smoked his ass.
