Nice hair!!! Speaking of hair, here's Pet on Josh...
"... same guy everyday..."
Meanwhile back in JM-land... check out the throw at 1:54... hopefully not representative.

Hmm just before the1:54 mark I see Josh throwing the near interception and the pass after is JM completing the out route to Gabriel with a running play in between.

Really struggled today ...
In 11 on 11's, he went 1 for 6, with 2 batted balls, 2 sacks and a dropped interception...
Did much better in the 7 on 7's, going 3 for 5.....(with another batted ball)....
so, I just hope that means the D was extra great today.....
-
2's against 1's? Who wouldn't struggle on the first day out?

Would love to throw some beers back with Rob Ryan anytime. Thought last season when the Saints came to town, Sean Peyton was going to leave his ass in C-town. Both blew up at one another on the sidelines when Rob's defense could not stop our Offensive Juggernaut. JM still can't find the passing windows threw the lines and the NFL is full of bigger and faster guys he's never seen coming before. He's Got to figure that out first, than lets see where it go's. WR's get your track shoes on for some sprints you might see the ball in your area at some point. I know its only day one, GO JOSH..

You mean the completion that was late and to the inside on an out-route? Even better example at the 1:13 mark...

JM excerpt from a really good ESPN write-up of Haslam interview:
"I think we're pleased that Johnny did the things he should do in the offseason," Haslam said. "It was a great improvement over his first year, but anything less would have been totally unacceptable. So he's working hard.
"But playing pro football, you have to be a pro, particularly playing the position he does. So he's got to work hard every day on and off the field. He's making progress, but he's got a long way to go. But we're obviously pleased with the offseason."
Haslam would not, though, say the team has to know what it has in Manziel by the end of this season.
"He's barely 22 years old," Haslam said. "He's still young. So I think over the next couple of years we've got to see if Johnny can be a legitimate quarterback or not.
"I don't want to put too much pressure on him or our coaches and say it has to happen this year."

Gonna beat the dead horse on this one but why invite the circus and waste a first round pick to "see if Johnny can be a legitimate quarterback or not.". Don't the Browns have more pressing needs? Haslam seems like an owner that likes to meddle but has no clue.

actually liked what haslam had to say, especially the line "I don't want to put too much pressure on him or our coaches and say it has to happen this year." which tells me he doesn't have that trigger finger like a lot of owners have.
seems like he'll give pettine and farmer some time, which is what this team needs.

Start rooting for your real team 'Baaston".

Agree-I'd rather see a QB developed rather than thrown in the deep end with a sink or swim sign around his neck. Cleveland has done that far too often to continue repeating that mistake. As long as the coaching staff is happy with how he comes along, that is all that should matter.

Nah- pretty sure the circus left town after JF stunk it up last year. He still draws above average interest- but not much more than say Gino Smith.
