  • Correct... Housler's blocking is sub-par, but he also came with a hands question.

His assets are speed and size.

But without any blocking or catching, how are those supposed to be applied?

  • This thread is making me miss Jordan Cameron.

Did you miss him last year as well???

Yes, I did ... but at least we shared a moment:

  • Maybe, just maybe this opens the door for Pryor to play like a hybrid TE/WR.....or maybe for rookie Michael at the H Back Hybrid Fullback/TE.

  • Don't think Johnny's got the tools but I hope I'm wrong

  • We will get a better idea tonight.

  • i might move to texas and join war and ag69's JF fan club if he keeps showing me stuff like he did last night.

any room on that manziel suck-a-nut bandwagon? 😎

  • Just HORRIBLE!

    7 for 11?!?!? and 0 TD passes.

    Missed 4 passes. Inexcusable.

  • Manziel looks much better then last year. He has grown up.

  • He looked better than any time last year, however the kid needs to work on not staring at his intended receiver......... Baby steps.

  • They made him do lots of play action and rollouts despite the fact that we weren't running the ball, which is totally cool. I think they want him to execute the footwork and fundamentals and they know that when the 1st OL is in the run game will be fine.

I was gonna answer that it obviously was, then I remembered you're smart and now I'm assuming your question is sarcasm also. Or would that be irony?

he shoulda posted it with font color pink.

  • Not to rain on the parade here, he did look sharper ... but he still plays "small" to me, I don't see him making any big time throws. He's playing a lot smarter, but I want to see that big time NFL arm where he can rifle balls in small spaces without much windup or deliberation. McCown has that big-time arm, I think that is why he keeps getting chances.

I imagine the fourth preseason game, McCown will sit and Manziel will play the whole game and that's really where we get a chance to see if he can make all the throws, he failed that test last year, it's critical to whether he is starter material or another, smaller, Colt McCoy.

I do love his no nonsense attitude this year and I'm pulling for him.

  • McCown certainly looked better....

Yesterdays TD and the one he threw in the scrimmage were both rockets thrown while on the run.....really really nice plays!

I like what I see there, so far......a lot!

I also like the progress JFF is making....it's encouraging.....but he has a ways to go and the perfect situation(with McCown) to get there in time.....

The best part is that....compared to last year.....we have a guy who has stepped up, taken the job and(so far) looks like he deserves it!

I was at the game.. I saw him make way too many late throws and he hung his WR's out to dry on just about every play.. I wish people would quit ball washing this kid's nut sack.. He blows dognuts.
