McCown's career rating is higher than any Browns QB for the last decade.

Your argument is done. Moving on.

Well, overall, I am on your side of this argument. I think he will be really good this year.

But his career rating is 76.1

    Hoyer, 76.8 ... 77.6 with the Browns

    Campbell, 81.7 ... 76.9 with the Browns

McCoy, 78.2 ... but only 74.8 with the Browns

    Garcia 87.5 ... 76.7 with the Browns

    Holcomb 79.2 ... 83.3 with the Browns

    So ... no.

A mobile Google search returns his rating as an 84.5, which is what I was basing my post off of.

It seems that may be just his career rating as a starter, I guess.

I'm actually not sure what structured data Google is pulling for their report. Whatever the variables are, they have McCown with a higher career rating than any other Browns QB in a long time.

    Now, to do some digging...

  • So apparently slight differences in quarterback rating are not really reliable predictors of success in the NFL. Fair to say?

Ya, could be his rating as a starter versus other Browns as starters. suffice to say, none of them are too hot. I went back to 99 nad Holcomb's 83.3 was tops, but his best efforts were probably in relief as well.

We haven't had an above average startng QB in 16 years. Not sure we've had too many "average" ones. The bar is not high.

  • I'm still trying to find tape on this Kirkpatrick guy...

    he sounds great...

    or at least not TERRIBLE...

But all that keeps coming up is some mediocre, Bengal CB...

    This is interesting.

So, I think it's McCown's career with Chicago and TB, but nothing before that.

    Regardless, I was mistaken.

  • Everytime i see a Manziel thread, it brings back memory of the entire 2014 draft process.

WE COULD HAD TEDDY B AND PROBABLY BUILDING ON HIS YEAR 1 SUCCESS.

I envy the Viking fans now.....

With that said, Manziel did look pretty good this past weekend. ๐Ÿ˜

  • Ms. Tiddy Bildgewater didn't want to play here. Please stop.

Who would with the way they treated him?

They should let Manziel start one of the next pre-season game and let him roll with the 1s. Hate to say this, but i saw "ALOT" of positive this past weekend with Manziel. I'm also happy he finally did get rid of that Retard money sign thing after scoring the TD.

  • Had nothing to do with being treated anything.

He wanted to play in a dome, with a top rb, and wr's.

    *************************************************

wanting to play for the Cleveland Browns.

Following the draft Bridgewater told Patrick that he was glad the Browns passed on him and he ended up in Minnesota.

โ€œI actually told my agent thatโ€™s not the place where I wanted to be,โ€ Bridgewater said on May 13. โ€œThroughout this entire process I felt comfortable with the Minnesota Vikings from every visit that I had with the team. Itโ€™s a family environment. The players, great guys, a great group of guys so I felt comfortable wanting to play here.โ€

Tuesday the Vikingsโ€™ rookie quarterback back pedaled a bit. What he said was not exactly what he meant.

โ€œI think it was misinterpreted,โ€ Bridgewater said. โ€œWhat I was saying was I had a strong feeling about the Minnesota Vikings. I was able to meet with them five or six times in the pre-draft visits. I just had a pretty solid feeling about the Minnesota Vikings, but, you know, I try to put the pre-draft stuff behind and try to just focus on my careericon1.png with the Minnesota Vikings.โ€

    Sorry bout that. Fixed.

  • That's Devante Parker, not Teddy Twatwater.

  • Who the hell wants to go to a family dinner if they are not invited. Would you? Our front office spend more time scouting Teddy more than anyone else but it's made known that members of the organization didn't want him. Now we have A new and improve Johnny Football.

  • It doesn't matter. Some coaches did, some didn't. He wasn't drafted by the Browns.

    Stop the incessent whining already.

Not invited by us and what, 30 others teams? Fuck him.

  • I did not post Twatwater. Does Bridgewater automatically change to it or something?

    Teddy Bridgwater

    Teddy Twatwater

    Tedy Bridgewater

    Only the middle one changed.

  • i might move to texas and join war and ag69's JF fan club if he keeps showing me stuff like he did last night.

any room on that manziel suck-a-nut bandwagon? ๐Ÿ˜Ž

UnfortunNUTely the left and right seats are done taken so you'll have to sit right in the middle sucking seat. ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜›๐Ÿ˜

  • Lmao look at all you guys trying to polish the giant turd that is McClown! The dude has been a journeyman forever and except for one year has always had a below league average qb rating or qbr. One year! Wtf do you think that means for the browns? That he will have the 1/12 year or the 11/12 year?

NOBODY wanted this turd mcclown. Tampa bay released his sorry ass after he was so terrible for them. So all you guys talking about how he would be a good influence on jm? Well Tampa bay, after they saw his putrid ness, didn't want him within 1000 miles of Winston.

Check out his fumble rate...even though he has rarely played for large stretches, dude fumbles more than Dave Krieg....if Dave krieg put Vaseline on his hands before every snap.

The idea that you guys are trying to pass off McClown as decent is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. Check his career...he's literally one of the worst qbs ever.

  • Dude we're all sorry that McCown banged your mom and never called her again. I'd be pissed, too.

Well, call me Mr. Nobody and allow me to introduce my cousins, Mike Nobody (HC) and Ray Nobody (GM)...

  • Well back from my drive from Cali. to Texas via Yosemite, Death Valley (118 degrees when we went thru), Lost Wages and the Grand Canyon (put it high on your bucket list, especially for a sundown). Had a chance to review most of the game now. Two observations. McCown also looked directly at his receivers on all but the TD (forced to look elsewhere) and the long pass where interference was called. So JFF not the only one. The O seems designed to look fast and get it off fast. 2nd, JF is starting to show his old quickness of feet to escape rushes and continue to look downfield. He is beginning to remind me of how I made a step from a decent level of racquetball to a high level. The guy teaching me made me change my quick, speedy game to one in which I was required to let many of the shots go by to the back wall instead of trying to cut them all off. It took a lot of "thinking" which screwed everything up until it became second nature and the speed and quickness could be added back again with a far more complete game. It took a full year to make that transition to the point I was playing a far higher level overall. I see the same thing with JF. A lot of painful 'thinking" transition with more and more moments of the old JF being incorporated into the "new" game he is learning. He's still got a way to go, but all the signs are there that it's beginning to change for the better. I'm glad McCown is there to guide him along in making that transition. But I do not expect JF's highest level of play until next year. It just takes time and a lot of experience.
