or a military industrial complex that is go obese that it necessitates so many unnecessary systems in order to spread out production, for the sake of political leverage. Likely about money in the end. In Russia I think they just say make this fucker go as fast as possible, as high as possible....and turn like it's on rails. Then we'll add shit to it piece by piece so that one thing doesn't shit can the entire design. I think they're asking the Lockheed engineers to do too much too soon. Materials research is probably not at the level necessary for some of the things these guys are thinking up. What's concerning is that think tanks assessment that basic fundamental principles of avionic engineering have been fudged. I understand if you have weapons that can shoot without the plane actually looking at the target, that you don't need the thing to turn like a bat....but then you make it a high energy fighter that can power out of a turning match with a more nimble opponent...get altitude/distance...come back for another go. But they didn't even give this thing that. The Russian planes will out turn this thing and also outburn it. I guarantee no current pilot who grew up on sound fundamental air to air combat efficiency will like this thing for shit.

  • It probably is a fat ass whale of a loser aircraft. But so what? We've had them many times. Things will turn out fine. Take your prozac and calm the fuck down.

  • We still have F18s, & F22s that outfly anything Putin can put in the sky.

  • And our A-10s can handle anything they roll across the ground.

    We'll be okay.

Russia's 4th gen upgraded planes would wipe the floor with the 18's and be such an equal to the 22's that it would come down to pilot skill if they got close.

    I bet.

    6 crashes in 6 weeks.

    Cause: too much flying

  • I can truly say you have no idea what the absolute fuck you're talking about.

Read this before you get your panties all bunched up over the f-35. It's not a dogfighting jet. The F-22 is.

Walter go away and come back when you have a clue. I can truly say that you're a complete idiot and moron without a single ounce of any redeeming intelligence or a picogram of analytical insight...nothing to definitively say i'm part of an advanced species with an intellect superior to that of the common beast. You don't. There's apes out there more aware of shit than you are.

    .

  • There's what happened in the past when American engineers got over enamored with the beyond the horizon kill mentality. Yes it absolutely matters that the F-35 can't turn with an aircraft from the 1980's that was loaded down with fuel tanks and missiles. YEah you heard that right. A clean 35 got hammered, took home a DONUT, against a 1980's aircraft that was travel fit.

  • Here's why the Australians think the F-35 is a pos. I guess we convinced them to still buy some but this video is from 2010 when it appears they wanted nothing to do with it. "Can't climb, can't turn, can't run".

You need to watch that last video about a joint excercise from 2010 where the Russian fighters peed on the F-18's. I mean really F-18's? Even back in the day they used the F-14's as the dogfighters to cover the 18's bombing runs.

  • What else does Alex Jones have to say on the matter?

Let me know when you quit worrying about 20th century "dogfights", Iceman.

    The F18s, F22s,

    along with the A-10's, F-16's, B-1's, B52s , C130 gunships, mothballed F14s & 15s I think we're good.

Is it 20th century dogfights i'm worrying about, or is it the staggering cost of these pieces of shit? Did that not register with you there goose?

Link fail but I digress, I love how all of you wail and moan over what you consider to be govt over spending....but 1T for a cool looking piece of shit that is going to get a vodka colonic "when",cause it's only a matter of time, the soviets/Chinese figure out how to see it. The soviets and Chinese develop something that can see it and guide in air support into visual range....bye bye 35. That pilot might as well start scanning the ground for a nice soft spot to punch out over...cause he's toast.

Lemme give you all a little flying FYI...there were generally two ways to build planes. High angle of attack planes and high energy planes. The F-14 is a great example of an energy fighter....although with it's wings out it actually became a pretty good AOA fighter. But it could hang with the smaller Migs cause if it got in a bad situation the pilot put it vertical and powered out of the engagement...got altitude, nosed it over and could come down for another shot. That was an awesome plane.

If you're not high angle of attack plane, like an F-16 that can turn on a dime...than you'd better have the juice. Russian 5th gen planes are pretty much going to do both "VERY" well. Seeing that link that chris posted that shows how far behind even the Eurofighter that piggy is, I'm like why did we spend 1T on this shitbox? "NOW" they're trying to reinvent the thing as "oh it's not a dogfighter it goes in there on day one to take out the SAM sites". That was "not" it's original intent. You clowns know that the F-22 program was cut off because they said why continue making this thing, which was certainly better than the 35 but still lagging behind the rooskies, when we'll just make shit tons of these new 35's that we'll spread out to all the services. And because money, not reason and logic, dominate our society...nobody could snip this thing off years ago and say this thing is too expensive and it's an embarassement.

Don't just call yourself "conservative", actually be conservative. Did I just blow your minds? Does the thought of having congruent thoughts and ideas across the spectrum terrify some of you? No one that calls themselves "conservative" should be anything but sputtering with rage what the American taxpayer has been saddles with. Try channeling some of that Obummercare angst.
