Everyone should have Butkis on their list...he was like the JB of linebackers.

Anyone who has Graham on their list is just being a homer.

Graham wouldn't crack the top 10 in anyone's list outside of Cleveland.

Yea, this is just stupid. Again, this is just Steeler fan thinking that God created the earth, moon and sky in 1972. He probably would also not consider Unitas, Baugh, Luckman. Yea, sure, the greatest winning QB in the history of pro football shouldn't be considered because he just played too long ago when the Steelers sucked.

Probably 90% of any teams fans dude, unless you're 50 or over.

Lets not lose sight of the fact that the year is 2015.

Then, under your premise, Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Ty Cobb, Joe Dimaggio.....none should ever be considered among the greatest baseball players of all time. Nor should Jerry West or Wilt Chamberlain or Bill Russell be considered among the best basketball players of all time.....After all, they played in the 50s and 60s....and this is 2015.

Related to Janine Sine? (Who I had a bit of a crush on in HS....except she was dating Danny Gibbs).

Sammy Baugh and Chuck Bednarik are a couple of old timers that could be on this list. Red Grange is another

Baugh was on my list....and yes, Bednarik certainly warrants consideration.

Note the bold below. Directed right at the Retard Steeler fans lol.

Cleveland Browns – Jim Brown

If this isn’t the biggest no-brainer of all, it is certainly in the running. In fairness to the great Otto Graham, who operated in an era of football that is no longer discernible to most average fans, Jim Brown is the greatest Cleveland Browns player of all-time, and it isn’t particularly close.

For some, Brown remains the gold standard of what a running back is supposed to look like. He played with an incredible mix of power and speed, with a certain physicality that made him stand out above the rest in his era. For reference, Jim Brown led the NFL in rushing eight times in his nine-year career (a ratio that can’t be matched by anyone in league history), and he averaged 104.3 yards per game in those nine seasons, which easily ranks number one all-time.

The one (and only) knock on Brown’s career is a relative lack of longevity, but he exited the game on top to pursue other avenues, and he was the all-time leading rusher upon retirement. Now, Brown ranks “only” ninth on the league’s all-time rushing list, but he is universally thought of as one of the best players in NFL history, regardless of position.

Per Steelerfanthink, all players on this list that played before 1970 should be deleted:

That means you to all of the following:

Eddie Matthews

Al Kaline

Whitey Ford

Hank Greenberg

Tris Speaker

Lefty Grove

Grover Alexander

Joe Jackson

Bob Feller

Warren Spahn

Satchel Paige

Ernie Banks

Jimmie Foxx

Yogi Berra

Jackie Robinson

Christy Mathewson

Rogers Hornsby

Walter Johnson

Honus Wagner

Sandy Koufax

Joe Dimaggio

Stan Musial

Cy Young

Ty Cobb

Mickey Mantle

Lou Gehrig

Ted Williams

Babe Ruth

Willie Mays

Your careers don't count. TypicalSteelerfan says so.

[ballpeen]

Jim Brown

Jerry Rice

Roger Staubach

Deacon Jones

Dick Butkas

LeRoy Selmon

Emmett Smith

Joe Green

Sammy Baugh

Lawrence Taylor

I wanted a equal number of defenders. Each I mentioned could take over a game like no other could.

Some could convince me to replace Mean Joe with Reggie White.
