I like Yates as well, but don't want a third QB on the active roster... just like Chip Kelly...

Tebow... lol... the way NFL Network is acting you'd think he'd never been cut before...

  • Browns trying to add veteran running back

Posted by Zac Jackson on September 5, 2015, 12:17 PM EDT

As the Browns finalize their roster cuts and sort through their outside options, a team source tells PFT the team has prioritized finding a veteran running back either by trade, waiver claim or signing at some point this weekend.

The source said veteran players have relayed to the coaches their feelings that the younger backs and the offense in general will benefit from a veteran presence, on and off the field.

  • Logan Thomas got cut by Arizona. Second year player that might be worth checking out to see if he would be worth trying to develop. The size and arm strength is there.

  • Going over the list and looking at 2014 PFF grades for every OL, DL, and LB cut, here are the players of intrigue:

Red Bryant. He's 6'5", 328. He's been elite against the run the last two years.

Well I'm halfway through and he's the only player with any sort of stand out grade whatsoever. So I'm gonna stop wasting my time. Doubt we have room on the DL but someone will sign Bryant, I'm sure.

  • Dustin Vaughan

  • TE Joseph Fauria Lions would be a nice option in the red zone

Born and raised Hokie here (i know, sorry) In my opinion LT is not worth checking out at qb. He was pretty good one year at Tech then sucked it up the next two and showed no signs of development.
