It was reported on the radio today that a source said he actually swerved around a car and accelerated to beat a yellow light.....And this is why he didn't see the guy standing there.
Take it for what it's worth but it makes sense. I had been trying to figure out how in the world he didn't see a person standing in the road. This may have been why.

That and a twin-turbo W12 AWD car melts your face as soon as you "accelerate to beat a yellow light".
When I did valet parking for a summer job I got to drive a Continental GT.... if you barely tap the gas pedal and someone happens to stroll out in front of you... they're toast.

From what I have read stallworth was given a breath test at the scene. He was released and allowed to drive away. So if the blood test shows anything, it most likely isn't alcohol. I would think speculation of DUI isn't what they are looking at, but reckless operation with caused a homicide is definately in play. Now, what that would create, who knows.

It wasn't until later that they interviewed the witness that said Stallworth pulled around a car coming to a stop to try to beat the light.
If he had blown positive they would have taken him in and booked him and most likely impounded the car.

OK....now the worm is turning a bit as more information begins to surface....and it isn't looking good for Mr. Stallworth.
We will see how it finally plays out.

So, it's a good guess that he will test positive.

May not be that easy. Atlanta was never able to recover Vick's bonus monies or get out of the contract other than straight out cutting the guy.

What's slam dunking innocence here? His contol over his vehicle, being up before 7am after partying past midnight? Flashing brights on a sunny Florida morning? Is this the FIRST time Stallowrth broke the laws of the highway? Where to begin?
There's alot of Americans that haven't put themselves in this position. First and foremost, they haven't placed themselves above the law. Second, don't you think an ounce of prevention beats intervention in this case? What's intervention going to accomplish now that somebody died? The time to think about it isn't AFTER you killed somebody. Too late. If this were your friend or family member - and you KNOW there's a chance Donte can get the same wrist slap Leonard Little got - would you be worried about innocent until proven guilty? You know you wouldn't. There's better ways to handle a bonus that wasn't deserved in the first place.
Ever hear of hiring a driver when you are in no condition to drive? I NEVER realized how educational "Driving Miss Daisey" would become. And I believe she had Alzheimers and Dementia. Well, Donte may not be as bright as someone with Alzheimers but there's 5 million $ from Randy Lerner that says he never had to be. I'm just sayin...

give it a rest. the fact is stallworth is useless. if he killed someone well thats is good of reason as any to boot him off the team. i feel for the families of the dead one i would of rather him run me over if anyone but we cant change nothing. im sure he didnt set out to run over anybody but he doesnt produce and thats the bottom line

This wasn't a possom, deer or skunk Stallworth hit when he had the thinking capacity of Miss Daisey. Then again, the person with Alzheimers and dementia knew enough to PAY a driver when she wasn't in any condition to do so.
My opinion of what I continued to read about Stallworth had ZERO to do with you on a personal level so the fact that you've personalized it is your own fault. I CAN say rather comfortably I've never once jumped into a thread and told you "you don't know what you're talking so STFU." I think I've even paid some of your takes compliments in recent weeks or piggybacked onto statements I felt you made good points with. Have you ever once thought SOME people you share a message board with have seen a close friend and a family member hit by an impaired driver? I was hit by a drunk driver in college and my car got totalled by him and when I shown a picture of the guard rail that saved my life off the side of Route 81 on a very steep hill in Syracuse, NY, I was LUCKY I was only temporarily hospitalized. We had a close friend killed by someone that shouldn't have been driving so I'd LIKE to think I know what I'm talking about with stuff like this.
The story unfolding is you've got a pompous Prima Donna with a signing bonus he can't piss away fast enough. On top of that, he's got a wishy-washy story that needs a breathilizer of it's own. He's put himself above the law once before on the highway so while you were impressing yourself telling everyone NOT to jump the gun, OTHERS were researching the info further. When SMART people celebrate in Weddings and proms, they HIRE Limo drivers. It's called being responsible and planning ahead. Those that don't get hammered and hunt whether they know it or not. Stallworth in substance abuse program

The Philadelphia Inquirer has learned that Eagles’ Donte’ Stallworth is a participant in the NFL substance abuse program. No reason why Stallworth is in the program has been made public.
What is clear is that such a revelation will bear heavily on the success or failure of Stallworth's free agency campaign.

Channel 3 News is reporting that Miami Newspapers are preparing to disclose that Stallworth will be charged with everything regarding drunk driving and vehicular manslaughter etc.
