  • wont Josh be a FA next year? He is gone from Cleveland. He will go to Dallas or Cinci where they welcome that kind of person

    1. No... because of what I saw last year.

    2. No... because there are too many teams between us and a WC slot.

    3. Yes.. but kinda outta state.

No... Gordon is under contract to us for two more years assuming his game 17 suspension in 2014 is upheld. If it's overturned, then we still have him for one more year.

  • 10 people against legal weed?

    Why?

I am overall undecided longer term on how I feel about legal weed. I am however smart enough to see through the well orchestrated ads about poor little children who can't get medical weed and job creation. If their genuine concern were anything like The ads they"d have no issue with growing for personal use and licensing smaller caregiver farms. The bill is a straight cash grab that counts on either sympathy or the fact many don't care about the bullshit as long as they can buy weed. It's a bad bill.
  • When I was young and naive I might have voted for weed. But it dumbs you down, makes you lazy and destroys brain cells. Just what the people of Ohio need; More dumbasses living off the government and mooching off tax payers.

As for Josh Gordon; How old will he be next year? Do you really think he's having an ephiny right now? He's,got a greenhouse full of marijuana growing while he watches reality TV all day eating Crispy Creams. Sure, he'll make a difference.

  • Hope people go out and vote for issue 3... dont matter if you think its a good bill or not... the law against it right now is the biggest crime already and anything would improve the situation... or i guess we can keep throwing weed smokers in jail while real criminals roam free

  • And I have to add one more post on this subject... Do people really believe that weed makes people dumber than alcohol? I think people believe too many stereotypes without actually investigating issues themselves.

This ^^ Tells me Josh does not want to be here period.. When shit goes bad on the Field. Josh goes bad on the streets. Peer pressure with friends for years has shot this kid in the foot. Josh after 10 game suspension looked lost on the playbook & not in the best shape on endurance. All fixable with full camp but Josh's heart & head has got to be back in his game..

They are counting on people like you. Vote yes even if we think it's a bad bill? If you really feel passionate about it lobby for a GOOD bill.
  • I could care less if people smoke weed legally or illegally, but I don't like issue 3 because it basically says:

"These 10 rich people are allowed to create a monopoly and control every aspect of this particular market, from production to distribution to sales, without competition from anybody...... and by the way, you can smoke weed legally"

If you like are willing to give those people that much power and money, just so you can get high and not worry about a slap-on-the-wrist misdemeanor... then you're ____________ (insert favorite synonym for 'crazy'). Issue 2 is a great law that prevents people from ever being able to "write into law" a monopoly on any market. Once issue 2 passes, issue 3 will basically become null-and-void anyway...

If the people actually put an amendment into the constitution that ONLY says "marijuana legalization - for age appropriate (I think 25 and older) people, with strict restrictions about driving while high / smoking in a public place / accepting public assistance while using / accepting unemployment while using / accepting Medicaid while using / etc..." Then I will gladly vote for the hard-working American to be able to come home and light up if that's what they want...

Agreed. That is not how a free market should work. It is bullshit.

Because I have as much right to vote "no" as you have to vote "yes". That's all you need to know, that not all of us think the same, & that's actually okay.

Will you smoke it when it passes? πŸ˜‰

Weed is now like alcohol was in the twenties....forbidden but commonly utilized. Soon "Prohibition" against weed will go the way of prohibition against alcohol...and prohibition against gay marriage.

No, I don't think so. The Browns have him at least through 2016...if not beyond....if they want him.

Of course, all the same things can be said about booze.....only its worth. (and I suspect that far, far more people....if any do at all....mooch off taxpayers because of booze than they do because of marijuana.)

Right, you can vote for whatever you want. I generally base my decisions on the evidence presented. I'm curious what reasoning you have to keep weed illegal?

And if we're making weed illegal, why not alcohol or cigarettes too?

Let's put it this way.....when they legalized casino gambling they basically did the same thing.....except that there were even fewer people to rake in the dough. So this would not be any different.

And, by the way, they could have vastly opened up casinos in this state.....as they did in at least one state (besides Nevada)....Montana. When I went there last year, every restaurant, truck stop, gas station had a small casino in them.

Ohio could have done the same but didn't.

But....in both the casino and the dope grower situation....once you let the cat out of the bag, more cats could follow. A number of other people could apply for a casino license. The new law for dope would allow for expansion of the list of "growers".

    Let's put it this way:

There are probably really no more than 10 actual suppliers and distributors of gasoline operating in this state. And that commodity is far more ubiquitous than dope will be. The Circle Ks and the Speedways and the Duke and Duchess stores all get their gas from the same source. So the "dope" monopoly doesn't concern me any more than the gas or the gambling monopoly does.

Yes, years of experience as an attorney and as a magistrate. Far, far more issues that cause the taxpayers money are caused by alcohol than are caused by marijuana. Honestly....almost universally the worst infraction that I have ever seen caused by marijuana is basically just the technical legal infraction of possessing it.

In 35 years I cannot tell you that I have dealt with any OVIs that were strictly cannabis related.

Other than alcohol, far more cases of OVI were charged by the use of prescription drugs.......and half of those were probably where the person actually had a prescription for those drugs.....the vicodins, darvocets, etc.

  • It doesn't matter what anyone thinks, it will be legal soon if not this year. It's funny cuz ppl voting no are just delaying the inevitable, were fucked anyways cause our country is poor and stupid and wants socialists as president to keep everything fair for ppl that don't want to work. Weed is the least of my worries
