We are playing a QB that is clearly and obviously injured and it's affecting his performance in a big way.. I just don't get it. I do NOT get it.

i get it, McCown is tough. But he is doing nobody any favors by trying to play hurt. He is just going to keep getting pounded play after play if he insists on holding the ball too long.

lets also face the reality that mccown cant stay healthy in games. It is what it is. And that's something to take into account as well. Every single game it seems he is playing banged up. Some of may disagree on just how adequate his 'healthy' performance is, but if he isn't healthy enough that doesn't matter anyways.

poor McCown. He really is giving his all out there, it's just not enough. I'm not a Manziel fan, but it's just not worth risking McCown any more. I feel like he's going to suffer a season-ending injury if he keeps going like this.

but his all goes back to pettine's very short term and 'me' view.....he has it in his head that getting to 7-9 or whatever may, just may, save his job. So he will do whatever he can to protect that....even if it offers little longterm hope for the browns. He would literally blow our franchise up if it meant he gets to stay in the nfl another couple weeks. A desparate nobody nfl coach is not good for franchises....
