Even though I like Pettine, I have to say he doesn't understand the AFC North. All you old guys know this, a team in the North has to be built a certain way. I don't know why exactly it is, maybe it's the latitude and longtitude lines we live on necessitate a certain style of football. I'm just tired of gimmicky shit and gimmicky players in Cleveland. I want an old school team built in Cleveland cause even if it doesn't make the playoff, we're playing football like it was meant to be played. And that means developing the best lines in football.

Danny Shelton wasn't a gimmicky pick... neither was Erving... matter of fact I am hard pressed to think of a gimmicky player.
As for gimmicky shit... I hear you, but what is the alternative when you are incapable of imposing your will on the other team for 60 minutes?

I think it's really this simple. This team doesn't know how to win, there's a mentality, a present confidence and dependability that this team doesn't show or possess. We hear about how tight this team is, I don't believe it, there is no killer instinct or inner motivation. This is coaching, sure, but it's also the players. It's like the entire organization has a cloud over them and they don't want the cloud to go away. It's simply a winning mentality that the team is absolutely lacking. No intensity, no fire, no yearning to get better and build on things. We keep re setting into loser mode
