  • Yep Obama's gonna declare martial law, cancel next years election, take all our guns, and bring extreme Islam to America.

  • How much was spent on this "army" and over what time frame? How does it compare to over govt agencies?

  • Instead of always asking questions woodpecker, why don't you strain your wings and look it up?

  • 1) I'm at work

    2) I looked at the actual report just now. There are a few interesting pieces I'll post later.

    3) if cal wants to make this thread to drive the Obamao agenda, he should present data to back it up.

The only things those two objects have in common is how they are both easily obtained and misused by idiots.

Not to mention how they have little to do with your EPA topic. But this post is, as they say, "your movie"; we're all just watching it.

  • I don't know...

Obamao regime buying swat gear, ammo and guns out the wazoo in many, if not all,

depts. Which is really tough to figure out why all the duplication.

And, he wants to disarm Americans with guns.

It's a culture. Sounds like Obamao wants to have a civil/race war, stupid as that sounds.

  • Big serious trouble!

    Cloward-piven!

That may very well be the most ignorant thing I've read on the interweb in quite a while..

  • yep, you betcha, big serious trouble. cloward-piven, nra, bibles, higgardly obamao clinton.

  • From that report

    Every president since 1981 has grown the EPA during their term in office – but only GW Bush left office with a lower EPA budget than when he started:Reagan $3.03B (1981) - $5.027B (1988); HW Bush $5.155B (1989) - $6.668B (1992); Clinton $6.892B (1993) - $7.562(2000); GW Bush $7.832B (2001), $8.3 billion (2004), $7.472B (2008); Obama $7.642B (2009) - $8.139B (2015)

    fuckin Reagan.

    fuckin Bush

  • Bush bought furniture.

Obamao bought millions and millions and millions of

dollars of guns, ammo, and swat gear.

You are hopeless - you are woodypeckerhead.

The subject is not how the budget has kept growing, asswipe woodpecker.

  • Assuming those numbers are correct - citations, woody? - then the budget has grown from 7.472Bn to 8.139Bn in 6 years. That's a total growth of about 8.3%, which is around 1.4% per year growth. US GDP in that time has grown at an average of about 3.7% p/a from 14.4 trillion to 17.9 trillion. So, 1.4% growth is in fact, a cut.

Prior to that, in the 27 years from 1981 to 2008, it grew from 3.03Bn to 7.472Bn. That's growth of a little under 147%, around 3.4% per year.

In fact, if you want to look at it with a political slant, the budget more than doubled in the 3 terms of Reagan, Reagan & Bush (LLC?) from 3 to 6.7bn. In the 23 years since, it's increased by less than 1% per year. My American history is obviously not up to the standard of most people here, but Bush and Reagan were republicans, right?

Again, this is all assuming that woody's numbers are correct. Sources?

  • Frankly i'm all for expanding the EPA, there's frankly still way too much damage being done to our environment. There's hardly any body of water left in this country where you can dip your cup in it and not expect major health complications shortly thereafter. However, SWAT gear? Wtf is this? What on earth is the reason the EPA, an administrative agency, is in need of all this kind of shit? If infact this story is valid...which it might not be given where Cal likes to hang out on the internets. It's very possible a couple handguns and ammo for security at EPA locations got turned into omg Obamao is militarizing the enviro hippys!!!

  • With that in mind, I do not see the need for any heavy armaments and would be interested in hearing the explanation for purchasing them.

The only thing I can think of is 'redistributing' money between agencies.

I mentioned at the beginning of my post I got those numbers from the report referenced in the OP. The article linked in the OP has a link to the site of the group that conducted the report. Then you can find the actual report on the EPA on their website.

I read through most of it. You can clearly tell its slanted and has an agenda going in (for the most part) based on the wording.

I enjoyed finding data though that they presented, but kind of kept in the back because it didn't meet their preconceived conclusion.

My post has two of those examples. There are probably more (One about how the EPA free THIS MUCH under Obama but ONLY X under bush, but if you do the math to find the per year growth, they're both pretty close.

  • But woody, does growing the EPA mean weaponizing it? Or is that claim complete horseshit?
