the quick viewing of the browns for me today DID leave me impressed with manziel....BUT you have to ask yourself if you as a fan or pettine as a coach would you seriously (as a franchise) spend the time, money and frustration to build a system around him?
sure, there have been plenty of QBs that have sat for some years, learned and developed into a team's system but when does an org go and draft and scheme for a kid that might not even make it as a backup in the league.
yes our offense lacks weapons. hey farmer and pettine are defensive guys. they played it, scouted it and now one of them coaches it. if people here think that farmer picks a D heavy draft next year you're out of your minds. maybe a bosa if that's staring us in the face but bowe should be shot out of a cannon right now back to wherever the fuck he comes from and other than that i see 2-3 guys i'd keep as wrs and a rb.
need some serious threats to spread these defenses out cuz we are less than one-dimensionable at this point on that side of the ball.
o'neill......is another story. don't know if i can defend him much longer. sometimes the student never gets quick enough to snatch the quarter from the master's hand.

Johnny played well, put up some Josh McCown like stats but the defense sucks.

What most of us had been saying all season. McCown wasn't the problem and Manziel played just fine today but as long as the defense gives up 30+ it won't matter.

We're about 30 years away from winning a playoff game after punting away the entire career of Joe Thomas. Proud moments folks - proud moments. I saw johnny make a lot of good throws today. I don't know what the johnny haters were watching but I was watching a kid give his all to attempt to beat our nemesis.
