Well...there's where you're wrong then. I've only had this screen name for as long as this board as been in existence. Joined September 2003 under this screen name. The one you're talking about was/is my aol screen name and those aol boards have been gone since long before 2003 or even 2005 when Ngata was drafted. So....no...there is no way that it was me posting anything about Ngata on this or any other message board. It's ok though..you're allowed to make mistakes.
I've said it repeatedly that I hope I'm wrong about Manziel. I'm a Browns fan...I don't root or hope against anyone who puts on our colors. I've rooted for them all...Frye, Couch, Anderson, Wynn, Gradkowski....the whole lot of shitty quarterbacks and god willing we will finally have one who can put an end to that fucking jersey with all the QB's names on it. I seriously thought he was going to fall apart today after that start but I was wrong, he rebounded and recovered quite well after that.
You can choose to rewrite history however you would like but that's where I stand. All I care about is the Browns winning games..nothing else matters to me.
First, we agree to disagree on where you stood with your pre-draft takes on Ngata that you repeated countless times whether it was on our first board at aol or here. It's never tough to remember who has strong opinions repeated many times over the months leading up to a draft. Nobody really cares but you and I know exactly what the truth is in this one so type what you have to.
As for your most recent strong opinions you suddenly don't want to own, Hoorta was the guy you were getting confrontational with so I'm not the one you owe an explanation to.

There were no fucking AOL boards in 2005 for fucks sake. This board was created in 2003, this is the only place I've been since it started. So if there were any postings about Ngata from me, it would have been right here on this here board under this screen name. You're dead fucking wrong. It's ok...you don't need to apologize...just keep saying the same thing over and over again and ignoring that you're wrong.
Ask me if I care if someone things they are "owed" anything from me.

So we found out you began as MarkNErin but since I didn't know what year you changed to MarkO - that's your alibi you never once repeated Ngata was overrated? God bless ya!
Next, I don't give the first shit about what you need to pretend about where you've stood on Manziel. I'm just LMFAO knowing Hoorta will read your bullshit since he's the guy you got all confrontational with. That's where you need to send your guilty excuses, explanations and alibis. I lost interest in those about 3 replies ago from you but carry on...

Whatever dude......enjoy...
I've been Mark O on this board since day 1 September 13, 2003. 2 1/2 years before Ngata was drafted. You're wrong. I know that's obviously hard for you to admit...but you're wrong.

aw, thats so nice. but we are 31st in the league in rushing the ball and somewhere around last in defense...errrrr...me thinks that it doesn't matter who the qb is, we will be cellar dwellers until that changes...so ya'll can talk up all your qb bs all you want...
11 run plays called all game... Hmmm...
Duke ran it twice for 14 yards early, then he got 2 carries the next drive... Then nothing...
He's our closest thing to a 4-down back. He should get 15-20 carries a game. I know some people don't think he can do that, but I'd rather be proven wrong rather than not try giving our best RB more carries...
This year has been very confusing, as far as coaching is concerned...

our ol stinks to high heaven....every time i see a handoff to crowell trying to run outside, i say to myself, here comes 2nd and 14...and it happens every time

I don't have any reason to doubt you J. I thought Johnny was a brat at A&M but it was fun to watch him play football. Then our favorite team drafted him in round one. When a fan is defining the rest of his career by his first 2 starts as a 21 year old QB and he's repeatedly outspoken about it - there's an element of ignorance to that considering the improvements on and off the field here since. And when the same guy is suddenly disowning where he stood when I watched him jump all over another longtime fan just 2 weeks ago.

Yea I know, I'm just saying McCown busted his nuts for us and I didn't see the scumbag Walter singing him any praises then.

i totally agree, but we are not winning anything with the 32nd ranked defense and the 31st rushing offense...start focusing on those 2 stats i just provided. Yes i agree we need a qb also and better coaching than we have right now...

Last word from me on this... Here was my message that I sent to you 2 weeks ago. Tell me how what I said 2 weeks ago before his start against Cincinatti is any different that what I said after the game today...

And I'm fine with that should they decide to go with him. I don't think theres a chance he survives and I don't think he's very good. I certainly hope i'm wrong. It's better for the team for him to be a good QB and prove me and all the other doubters wrong.
Son of a bitch.....that looks a lot like what I posted after the game today isn't it?

When you changed your screen name isn't the debate - your certainty about Ngata being overrated to the tune of you repeatedly typing it is what you're wishing I didn't remember.
I'll bet Hoorta is laughing as much as I have at your latest memory change tonight. Classic stuff!
I never fucking changed my screen name. Jesus... I've had the same on on this board since 2003. Is that so hard to understand? It was never changed. 2003 2 1/2 years before Ngata was drafted. Christ get that through your thick fucking skull.

That wasn't what you said to Hoorta at the close of the Tavern. You didn't him to start for your favorite team and you jumped all over Larry about it. You said a 1-6 36 year old QB that couldn't survive 2 starts gives us a much better chance to win than Manziel who was 1-0 before Cincy.

And now he's 1-2 so again...its not the fucking QB that is the problem. The 36 year old QB wasn't the problem that was the point. Why bench a QB who is playing well? Because the team is losing? Ok...your boyfriend Hoorta just said losing out the season is possible. So if Johnny starts all those games what will his record be as a starter? So we should get rid of him at that point right because its all about wins and losses right? That's what everyone who wanted to bench McCown for Manziel was saying. What do we do if we lose another couple? Does Manziel get benched for Davis? Maybe we can bring back Shaw to start then at that point.
The QB is not the problem with this team. Doesn't damn matter if it's McCown or Manziel. No different. Give up 30 a game and it's going to be really hard to win a whole lot.
-
Spare me the drama queen. When somebody continues to post the same thing every time he posts - it's not that tough to remember the guy posting from the screen name MarkNErin constantly announced Haloti Ngata was overrated as frequently as he's announced he thinks Manziel sucks. Was that any tougher than remembering Lumberg's childhood hero was Derek Anderson or what guys in here were in Camp Couch back in 98-99? Not really when we spends months debating potential draft picks on your door step.
Actually, Manziel played better vrs Cincy than Ben Rapen did. Ben threw 3 INTs when his team lost 16-10. Manziel led us to the same 10 points without the INTs but in the second half - there were alot of dropped passes that killed drives. How'd our defense do? Cincy is undefeated so they're a much better opponent than the Rams that held us without a TD in a 24-6 loss with the QB that allegedly gives us much better chances to win in his 1-6 tenure as starter here. Have we ever seen a more appreciated 1-6 QB than poor Josh McCown who'sstill not healthy enough to suit up 2-3 weeks after getting killed in the pocket Pettine wants all his QBs to stay?
So you think 9 years from now Hoorta won't remember who got in his face the most about Manziel? And now you're telling me you've been saying all along you hope Manziel makes the HOF? Let me know when you actually believe that before we discuss who's full of shit.

You're just getting our defense won't let us win any of the rest of our games? How long will it take you to realize a 36 year old QB is getting too beat up to answer the bell after he couldn't survive a couple different starts? Will you get that before you understand your favorite team drafted a QB in the first round? Good Lord!
Davis was unemployed meaning 32 different teams wouldn't consider him for their active roster before we signed him. If you think it's smart to give up on a 22 year old first round QB after he's only 5 or 6 starts into his career for Davis- God bless ya.

Yep, then you changed your screen name when this board got started and how does that change what you posted about Ngata?
Because I never said a fucking thing about Ngata. You said it was someone posting under the Marknerin name....if it was...that wasn't me on this board. I've only had this one name here. Maybe you're just making it up to be a dick. I'm not sure what your point in all of this is but its' meaningless and you're totally wrong. I've never had an opinion on him. I am not a draft guy...i don't get all fired up about any player in the draft until I read what other peoples opinion on the player is.

Yep. That's it. I made up you were ever MarkNErin since our core group from aol got this board going. A nice breeze came my way and I thought hey MarkO used to be MarkNErin.
I also thought why don't I just try to paint Mark as an opinionated person he has never been.
Now it's bed time for this conversation.

Mark calm down- you're right, it really doesn't matter at this point if McCown or Manziel starts. I put it in the thread I started- the losing has finally gotten to me, I refuse to get upset anymore this year about another loss- whoever is to blame, and there's plenty to go around- again. If Pettine values winning games at the expense of developing young talent, well draw your conclusions. I think I posted elsewhere our "best talent" is now 2-8, and on track for the first pick in the 2016 draft. That's the reality Mark- sorry if you refuse to believe it. McCown isn't going to improve- and he's not winning games. Smart teams develop young talent, by playing it. Especially when the season is in the toilet.
Got any explanations why Pettine is playing Bademosi who on a good day can't cover the other teams #4 wideout, and got matched up against Antonio TD Brown? Instead of playing Gilbert? Why he's benching Bowe? Why his stellar defense can't get any effective pressure on the opposing qb?
I said it in another thread- if it's Farmer that isn't supplying the talent- he needs to go. If Pettine is misusing the talent he's been supplied- well take a hike. If it's both- nuke the entire mess, and start over again.

Mark calm down- you're right, it really doesn't matter at this point if McCown or Manziel starts. Hoorta, what matters is seeing what we drafted in round 1 before the same group of clowns running this team sends him packing like Tampa Bay used to do with all their first QBs to their first legitimate chances to succeed elsewhere. We're that Tampa Bay team all of a sudden. Our WR Corps is a joke beside sporting the 31st ranked running game while our defense ranks 32nd. Welcome to preseason football with 6 games left.

testy. fiesty.
flamethrowin fireballs at friends.
people need to calm the F down.
the past is the past for a reason. almost scared to show up at a tailgate the way this is going. someone might poison the purple drank on my ass and i end up in east cleveland as a dead body on the first 48.
geez, and i thought NYers were the biggest assholes in the world.

In his fifth start Manziel throws the fourth highest yards on the road and the tenth overall for the Browns (I think I read that right). McCown also has made history this season with three consecutive games of over 300 yards so our QBs are doing well. Manziel is only 20 with 5 career starts so he gets my vote for the next game. He is also great to watch. If only our defense was good!

Good points. The only slight correction needed is Manziel is 22 with only 5 starts. It's a little premature to make final conclusions on his 3rd or 4th start as all those Dallas Cowboy fans once learned when they were certain Steve Walsh was the future of their franchise while Troy Aikman was allegedly a bum. Tampa Bay fans made the same conclusions about every single QB they had who went elsewhere to either make Pro Bowls, playoffs or both.
