Farmer and Pettine both fired. Official
-
#Browns GM Ray Farmer may be fired without ever hiring a coach. Had 2 top picks forced on him: Manziel (Haslam's call), Gilbert (Pettine's)
This is why I'd rather see Farmer get one more year than Pettine.
Two-thirds of the reasons people hate him were not even his call. If we literally picked ANY other players instead of Gilbert and Manziel, most of his detractors would change their tune.
I'm awesome, and I fuck dolphins. Ghoolie 12/2/2012: I have absolutely no skills, training or pride -
Come on Canton Dawg stick with the hot dog stand. Your on a roll today!! or is that buns or just straight ass..
-
Maybe Jesus will be the next head coach and he can talk the Holy Spirit into being GM.
Next stop on the Doug Marrone farewell tour Cleveland!

*yawns*

I would like to see Haslam hire Marrone.
That way 3/4 of the way through another abysmal season, Marrone would just walk away saving Haslam the trouble of firing his ass.
-
Pettine is here to stay.
Get used to it.
How many misguided posters didn't see this coming?

Just as hopeful as those who think Manziel is an NFL QB

I would think with the impending blow up, JM played his last game as a Brown.

We will get all the good names in rumors and interviews.
Then we're going to get the jets TE coach or something.

Honestly.....if they push Johnny onto the new coach, then it is absolutely a hopeless hopeless situation...

And Farmer's presser was so awesome...
If Fisher gets fired, St Louis would be the best landing spot for the next HC. They already have a very good defense, with a strong running game in Gurley. All they need is a decent QB and a WR and they will compete.
Add a fresh arm for sure, but I don't think Foles is done. I think Fischer stays though... or should I say moves with the team.
Elsewhere:
- I think Coughlin will retire... and then unretired to Miami where a TE coach is dismissed.
- Agree that Pagano will be shown the door... replacement below
- I see Sean Peyton going elsewhere via the trade route... Indy seems whacky enough to mortgage their future for a HC
- SF is where our next HC will come from... Tomsula just looks like Cleveland...
My surprise change? Dallas...
GM Jerrah needs a scapegoat and Sean Peyton might be his kind of guy...
-
"It sure looks like the Cleveland Browns are set to spin their never-ending wheel of coaches and executives yet again."
Now we finally know why JM is in Vegas. Haslem told him to spin the wheel.
-
So I wake up early, go get a great workout in and I miss not only an 8 page thread but now talk of Haslam getting rid of Pettine...?
I have this feeling Jimmah is chasing the fools gold that is Chip Kelly.
-
OK lets see if anyone gets it right .......Say who you would want that is available and also who you think we will end up with. Only 1 choice for each ....
Want : Gruden
Prediction : Marrone

Prediction 49rs special teams coach
