I've always wondered what it would take to get me to finally not care about the Browns. Chip Kelly w/ Manzidiot as his QB might be the final straw for me.

Same here.

Why

I don't even know what to say . . . I'm just so down on this team, but can't stop caring.

I would rather see Bernie than Kelley

I'll be right there with you, without a doubt......... Hell, I'm close enough to being done as it is without needing to be fucked with.

Clevfan4life

wel'll fire chip kelly in a year. Mark me down for it.

bbedward

I absolutely don't want Kelly

Don't worry - this will be what it was the last time. TN will offer him more cake and front office power than Jimmy like Philly was willing to do. He doesn't want his football career Jimmy Hoffa'd.

Tacosman

Chip Kelly has a winning record overall in 3 years(and 2 10-6 years) in the NFL. I'll take that sort of record.

Then Mike Pettine was 7-4 in his first 11 games so you're all set.

Mr. Make-Believe

I may be in the minority. But I'd get behind Chip Kelly.

I think he's a fucking arsehat. But at least the team would lose interestingly next season, instead of the quiet fart losses we're used to over the last season and a half.

andeftw

Would be interested to see Kelly and a GM he could get along with. He'd have a mobile QB to work with, a decent offensive line and running game. Pretty sure he could make the offense work with both Manziel and McCown.

I'm there with you. I don't think the Browns have a snowballs chance in hell but I think he will be better than any other option

Browns HC Mike Pettine scheduled to meet with owner Jimmy Haslam at 7 pm ET, when he is expected to be relieved of his duties, per sources.

Mr. Make-Believe

Dude deserved better.

I hope Pettine lands on his feet and gets another shot with a franchise that supports him more than the Browns did.

bringbackbrownie2

Expected to be fired is not the same as being fired. Kinda like you are expected to have a brain on this board but clearly it isn't a requirement...

Pumpkin Eater

I changed my mind. They should keep Pettine. It's not his fault the players are dog shit.

Mark O

So, per @AdamSchefter , Pettine has a 7 p.m. meeting with Haslam, at which time he will be fired

Yeah really! What was the benefit of waiting on his walking papers?
